Better web browser?

Chrome is good, but goolag has a finger up your ass at all times. Firefox is praised, but I gave up after a month. Tried Brave - looked perfect, until I realized that you can't load chromium extensions to it (at least easily). What else should I try? Is there a good chromium-based browser without goolag integration? Maybe there is something that is not based on anything?

Literally looking for the same thing

I just need a chromium based privacy oriented browser. Is that too much to ask in 2017?

You use chromium until brave is sorted out.
It ain't that complex bro

>blink-based browser
>good
Pick one nigger

Wouldn't chromium still have all of that goolag crap?

blink is the only engine in existence right now that actually performs well
this is objective
stay mad google did the right thing once in their lives

Is there anything similar to Chrome Sync?
I still want to sync my bookmarks and stuff across all devices, sure it's a botnet but at least not Google

>what is trident (edgehtml if you hate backwards compatibility)
>what is gecko
>what is webkit
Literally anything is at the very least on par. Blink is on the bottom of the barrel.

idk, blink just feels smoother

ungoogled-chromium

Heard about it, what about update process? Do you have to do it manually?

It might be all the niggerscript pajeet devs insist on shoving in every web page. I do believe V8 (Chrome's /Chromium's JS engine) is the best one available so that might be it.

blink is forked (and improved) webkit since apple was stalling you retard
good job confirming you know absolutely nothing
both trident and gecko are abysmal tier, you'd have to be an actual shill to believe they're good

Also, ungoogled chromium is kinda dead, no updates for couple of versions

Vivaldi Browser

internet explorer ftw

>>was stalling
>isn't anymore
>>trident and gecko are abysmal-tier
>>y-you don't know w-what you're t-talking about
Nice try CIA nigger. I suggest you don't glow in the dark tonight.

Try opera . They updated it a while ago and made it chromium-based

Is there an open-source browser out there that doesn't track your shit?

turns out it's fake news, v60 is currently WIP.

Will do, thanks

>Is there a good chromium-based browser without goolag integration?

Iridium

Firefox / Firefox Nightly
Iridium

wget+less

opera

The tor browser
Maybe unchromed chromium (but just like chromium it still sucks)
Firefox esr (with js disabled)

>but I gave up after a month
Why?

It's just not as smooth I guess. It's the little things

I guess Opera
It's like Chrome (i.e. it's based on chromium) with less Google

It is better however. Chromium takes longer to start, forces you the + _ [] buttons on dwm and can't let you maximise it, does not work at all with many tabs, etc

Yeah, probably it is, but in firefox the websites are laggy while still loading, and the overall experience is less smooth than chromium. Also, chromium has a few plugins that firefox doesn't (and vice-versa, though I need chromium-exclusive plugins more than firefox-exclusive. However, this is not something that influenced my decision to switch back to chrome)

All web browsers suck because the web sucks.

What hardware are you using? Did you install the 32bit version? What version of firefox was it? How many addons did you bloat it with? You realize firefox supports chromium plugins now?
I haven't had lags on firefox in years. Ever since I found out that they give you the 32bit version by default. Luckily Linux provides 64bit out of the box so I never had to worry about Mozilla's incompetency.

This is true.

>because the web sucks
Maybe, as a way to improve it, webdevs should stop relying so much on JS.

Firefox Nightly is actually really good. uBlock webtext and Violentmonkey work on it so far for me and that's all I need.

I haven't touched Firefox since the inception of Chrome. I also tried Chromium flavors like Opera, Vivaldi, and Slimjet. They all have something to offer functionally but at the end of the day they just felt like Chrome, and slower at that.

I don't really give a rats ass in general when using my desktop, but my tiny laptop demands every bit of performance it can get and FF nightly is blazing fast on it compared to every other browser I've tried so far. I did a clean install of chrome with the same extensions and ff nightly still runs faster for me.

64bit, my 1 month trial was done on version higher than 50. Hardware is FX8320 @ 4.2GHz + 8GB ddr3 + r9 380 4gb. 7 addons (noscript, privacy badger, RES, 2 steam-related addons, ublock and window master). Actually, seeing window master reminded me how crappy multimonitor support on firefox was, but it seems that I can drag and drop tabs easier now (you only get the full window when you release your mouse, and in chrome the tab becomes a separate window instantly). Maybe tab drag-drop was a thing while I was testing? Don't remember... Also, firefox on iOS is a joke - completely unusable...

JS isn't the problem though. The ad industry and mobile devices are.

>firefox on iOS is unusable
That's because it's Firefox Focus, not firefox. iOS is not compatible with Gecko because iOS is too locked down for devs, so Mozilla made a WebKit browser. They also released it on android. It's supposed to be light and privacy oriented.

This is what Firefox shills look like folks.
Remember it.

>FF nightly is blazing fast on it compared to every other browser I've tried so far. I did a clean install of chrome with the same extensions and ff nightly still runs faster for me.
be less obvious next time babe

It was unusable to a point where it would crash every time you tried loading a website

It's both, plus a massive variation of other shit. Like how it's neither as simple as the BBS networks like FidoNet, nor as stable as NNTP.

chromium.woolyss.com/#chromium-forks

Opera has similar thing

Try it out instead of memeing me if you need it on a low power system.

I'd never run anything but chrome or chromium derivatives on a desktop.

> Yandex browser

Great choice, I always wanted to give my data to kremlin instead of goolag

Works fine on android. iOS is shit.

In the other hand, android is goolag.

XDDDDDDD

Triggered

Can you compare Firefox, Opera and Chrome/Chromium in privacy matter?

>blazing fast
>half the speed in benchmarks

I use GNU icecat in android. It's faster than firefox.
I used to use firefox in Windows, and Chromium in Ubuntu.
Now I nave no idea.

Firefox > Chromium > Opera = Chrome

>Thinking that gooks care what cumskins and kangz browse

For the record, Firefox is just as bad as Chrome now
Keep trying to deny it

The telemetry can be fully disabled, so it will never be as bad as chrome.

So, I'd like to hear a bit more about Iridium - it degoolags chrome? What is the difference with ungoogled-chromium and Iridium?

Just curious, what symbol of organized workers has to do with typical american NSA surveillance botnet engine?
Are brainwashed burgers really retarded enough to use muh gommunizm as an excuse to not admit their country and ideology are fucked even 25 years after USSR breakdown?
Not the Jews, not evil communists, not an aliens turned America into fucking totalitarian shithole. It's just the way capitalism works. Face It, idiots.

> CCCP
> organized workers
Choose one.

The image was from google image search "goolag"

America isn't capitalist anymore. They're corporative. Which is basically totalitarianism by corporations instead of the government.

Honestly you all should go back to opera.

Firefox is a bloated mess and chrome is full botnet. Any other I
Option is a meme.

Nu Opera, aka chropera, it's like an improved chrome.

It's nothing like old opera, but it's the best right now.

Tried opera, didn't let me change search engine to a custom engine. Seems like they are living of goolags and similar companies sponsorships. At least that's what I think about it.

>2017
>not using waterfox

> Waterfox website doesn't even know how to detect users OS

I'll pass

>wanting the website to know what OS you're using

At least don't offer me a mac version. I guess waterfox creator is apple fag, like you

>worried about what the browser does with your data, and not the fucking site you're browsing

>Do you trust in an unknown team more than Google?
Sadly yes.

Hey stop using Socialist symbolic for fucking liberals.

Firefox does the same

>Do you have to do it manually?
yes.

Is firefox disabling all "Legacy" addons every time i close it a thing now? I have to restart them all every time i open the browser. Guess I'm never closing it.

I use this.

wait, what's the difference?

>hammer and sickle
>socialism
>google
>liberals
literally what the fuck are you doing

It's botnet

Brave needs more work

>willingly using chink software

on desktop

true
both is optimal though

Alright. What's a browser that's as customizable as that, but isn't botnet?

They're the same shit, communist

Sure thing bub.

Yes. Unfortunately, all Chromium based browsers are connected to the botnet or have some form of telemetry. It sucks, I know.

The safest you can go is using a firefox based browser, I use waterfox as it's not connected to Mozilla Firefox and I personally have found that it runs slightly better than mozilla firefox. Plus, most chrome browsers have a firefox version- so there shouldn't be a problem there.

Pic related, my extensions.

All I want is a browser that lets me mute tabs, has a good ad blocker, lets me easily install the Cytube script, doesn't glitch out when running videos when sandboxed with Sandboxie, works with Yahoo Mail without forcing me into classic mode, lets me delete LSOs, and doesn't have opt-out telemetry. So far I can't find a single browser that meets my needs, so I just have a bunch I rotate between. This sucks.

Literally ugly fat blonde girl tier demanding Mr. Right.

>fgrep openspeech /data/dalvik-cache/*mark.via*

Looks like firefox or waterfox are your best options.

So, what's the best Firefox fork?

IceCat for FLOSS
Waterfox for too lazy to disable telemetry
Firefox Nightly for muh first to get a faster browser
Honestly, standard firefox and firefox nightly are best.

> Waterfox
Isn't this the one with ad nauseum banned?

Pale moon is the one that recently banned it

Why does that even matter? It's useless malware.

Really? I'll give it a try then

>doesn't agree with the philosophy behind an extension
>calls it "malware"
Nice b8

>connecting to random sites
>not malware

>not doing any harm to the Google in long run
>doing harm to the internet in the long run
>wasting a lot more resources and not even blocking ads, unlike uBlock Origin
>not useless
Nice shitpost.

>doesn't agree with the philosophy behind an extension
do you actually believe the bullshit you're spewing or is this just a ruse

ungoogle chromeuim is doing pretty good for me only thing is if you need extensions you need to manully download the crx file but its not too hard to find for you favorite extensions.

People that use Ad Nauseum know exactly what it is doing and have downloaded it specifically for that purpose. Calling it malware without any explanation is obviously just your attempt to mislead gullible people on here into being afraid it will keylog their credit card numbers or something.

>t. bernie sanders supporter

>not based on anything: links2, dillo, netsurf, opera 12 source code leak
>Firecuck
>palemeem, semenkey, Kmeleon
>Chrom* babby
>ungoogled-chromium or go home

is there a way to install ad nauseum on brave
