- walk next door to work, so no driving, incredible how much less stress you have when your commute is literally nothing and you're not wasting time driving to work
- work is pretty enjoyable
- coworkers are nice and fun to be around
- work provides you with the materials and tech you need so you're not fighting for better hardware to do your job

all of that makes working pretty enjoyable

I make little more than $26k before they take 5k for 401k/Retirement/health ins & Taxes.

Atm it sucks ass cause right now I can retire after 27 yrs with full benefits but they are trying to change all that. If they succeed you gotta be 65 to retire, years of service won't mean shit, any built up sick time will be worth shit to. I'm fucked, cause anyway you look at it I still may have to work till I'm in my 60s no mater if I stay or go.

Have any proof that isn't a 2 hour video? I'm going to assume that the thumbnail isn't the proof since your employers pay taxes for you and a 1040 is what you file to get the money you didn't need to pay back.

For those of you that don't understand the minimum wage that's literally double what the full time minimum wage employee makes. This is also one of the best paying entry level IT jobs in the area. Maybe I'm just in a real shit location in California but I have a hard time believing all these people claiming to make 70k plus as programmers. I've been around a lot of places in the US and a lot of the salaries in this thread seem pretty exaggerated.

>how the fuck do you deal with having to work 5 days a week

70k plus as a programmer in general? or just entry level? 70k is easy to get as a developer
