>"Modi 2 Multibit: 16/44.1 to 24/192 via USB. 16/44.1 to 24/192 via Toslink* and Coax, with 24/176 and 24/192 being NOS (non-oversampled)" What does "non-oversampled" mean?
Cooper Bell
Post your headphones anons
Eli Sanders
Daily reminder that all you need for perfect audio experience is $3 earbuds and EqualizerAPO + PeaceGUI. Anything more is for retarded audiophools who love falling for snake's oil scams.
Nicholas Perez
Not in gods english m8
Noah Rodriguez
The Oppo PM3 has 10 more DB of sub bass and almost 20 db less treble at some points. How the fuck?
Jace Young
>Expecting /hpg/ to be able to eq properly
Luis Parker
can't have good bass without a decently sized chamber
Juan Garcia
Fool. Why spend all that money on expensive earbuds when you can get the exact same sound with tin can and a string?
Ethan Morris
What is the second best headphone behind the HD600?
Jonathan Collins
Pic + timestamp
Logan Cook
He thinks a $0.15 4mm dynamic driver wont shit it's self under more than 3db of EQ. n-nice
Justin Harris
>equalizing frequency response nulls >equalizing distortion >equalizing discomfort
Why are you not using a cute anime girl with a question mark over her head picture?
Carson Lee
Wow soooo cool user! Can you take a picture and timestamp of your next level setup so all of us idiots can get on the patrician train? Thanks!!!
Jose Rivera
>$3 earbuds Most earbuds including Senns and Yuins are already approaching or over 100% THD under 100 Hz and would need heavy equalization to meet any reasonable target curve, so this isn't true. You have the right idea though, something inexpensive with extremely low distortion and high sensitivity could be used like you describe. I'm not sure that product actually exists though.
Ryan Hernandez
lmao
Matthew Fisher
ldol trash here. What's your pizza like, user?
Zachary Baker
I can't afford pizza. :(
Luke Moore
If you still don't have the HD600, then it is accurate that you shouldn't be spending money on pizzas, user.
Adrian White
I am hungry but all that matters is fidelity 4 more weeks!
Aiden Cruz
>no food >only water >and meditation I respect how you're preparing body and mind for the HD600.
Sebastian Roberts
there are better headphones for anime
Christopher Allen
She came there, right?
Asher Gray
Idols are pure, user. >not care about >the seiyuu's voices >economical choices Making yumemi sad.
Kayden Rogers
Don't forget to also purchase expensive /hpg/ approved DAC/AMP Schiit Fulla 2™. There are other DAC/AMPs but you are not allowed to use, discuss or even consider those, unless it's Schiit Modi+Magni™ which is also /hpg/ approved. Remember user, make right choice. You already disappointed your parents, at least don't disappoint your /hpg/ bros.
Oliver Allen
patrician pleasure dome stimulators right here
anyways, what should I impulse buy next? I already own a few sennheisers (hd 598, 598se, 598c, and a few misc somewhere in the basement) so no 600's
Anthony Rivera
>I already own a few sennheisers (hd 598, 598se, 598c, and a few misc somewhere in the basement) so no 600's Christ. Sell all of these, get the HD600.
Josiah Long
Sell your crap sennheisers in exchange for HD600s. Then sell your crap planar for a real planar (LCD-2/3/4/X).
Landon Baker
Sorry. I'm buying the fx audio dac x6
Luke Ortiz
You should apologize to your future self, not to myself. You are not going to be welcome in those threads anymore. This just kind advice from me, buy Schiit Fulla 2™. You will regret it otherwise.
William Morris
That's /csg/ approved™. Still ok.
Blake Cook
but I've played with the 600's and they aren't worth it, these cheap planars sound much better in all aspects. Maybe one day, but I want something not sennheiser. >selling anything ishygddt
Juan Thomas
Then pay with your blood!
Austin Sanders
>fulla 2 >expensive Get a job, user.
Carter Davis
the hd 600 is only 2 better than the hd 598 retards
Noah Barnes
I agree on the better than hd600 statement. Planars are god tier
In fact take their advice and combine it. Sell the shitheiser stuff and buy lcd-2's or a pair of stax.
Jeremiah Morales
But if I get a job how am I going to 24/7 listen to anime music on my Sennheiser HD600™ and Schiit Fulla 2™? I could work from home I guess but last time I checked they don't allow home office in McDonalds.
Leo Rogers
I'm not an expert but from what I understand most DACs will oversample to make the reconstruction filter simpler. So the modi might oversample 44.1khz to 176.4khz (4x) and 48khz to 192khz (4x)
Since the filters are running at 176.4khz and 192khz if your source is 176.4khz and 192khz it would be non-oversampling.
Cooper Jones
But your cheapshit sennheisers are far less "worth it" and you can sell them to get memephones at no net cost to yourself. Either you should sell all the crap you're not using.
Christopher Johnson
>I could work from home I guess but last time I checked they don't allow home office in McDonalds. Christ. Get some marketable skills.
John Cooper
How do the lcd-2's compare to the he400i's? And selling anything is a mistake, its better just to make more money.
Gavin Clark
Reina a best. A best!!
Jaxson Williams
I already have marketable skills. I'm very knowledgeable about Sennheiser™ and Schiit™ products. Do you have any idea what career opportunities I could make out of this?
Tyler Wright
You could email them to offer some part time schilling. But I somehow know they do have enough schills already. We live in harsh times, my friend. Just use 4CHSCHILL code on checkout next time, for a bro.
Andrew Jenkins
How to get filthy fucking rich: >buy bitcoin >do nothing >profit there is no excuse for being poor in 2017.
Parker Rogers
Deeper bass extension, flatter mids but the highs are rolled off so they sound darker. Best bet is buying them used at a substantial discount.
Dominic Jenkins
I spent all my allowance money on bitbeans already. I think I'm going to make it. I hope Sennheiser or Schiit make audio systems for cars, because I would love one for my lambo.
Landon Flores
If they're so great why would anyone sell them?
Nathaniel Martinez
>Taking a gamble in bitcoin >Having to predict the future Kek. Too much of a risk, dude. I suggest either make a machine to do that for you first, or hire yourself a fortune teller
Evan Bailey
Just ordered them off Amazon, already excited! How much harder are they to drive?
Luke Stewart
>be ancient audiophile senior citizen >About to be placed in a nursing home >"Sorry we don't allow expensive headphones here, also they make lots of noise."
Or >Upgrade to other audeze headphones >Sell old ones
Or >Ear injury/deafness >Can't enjoy them
Juan Hughes
I'm not touching the hifiman because of the infamous QC and support, and these trashy mids. Pretending they hold a candle to HD600 is irresponsible at best. I'm looking into planars, and LCD-2 seems an option as, at least, the midrange isn't a clusterfuck in these.
Isaac James
Compared to the he-400i? Not that hard. A decent dedicated amp will get them loud.
Brody Morgan
mmmm that lofi/midfi hell. good job user
Leo Martin
Got NASDAQ:AMD instead, early last year.
Blake Thomas
The midrange in mine are pretty damn straight, but I've listened to others and I know what you mean. It's a gamble but its worth it for the price in my opinion, just don't go cheap on shipping and buy through Amazon.
Joshua Anderson
Well, there has been three anons over the past few claiming the opposite. I've only seen one user say otherwise that actually owns at least one of those headphones.
John Parker
>few few weeks >only seen one user over the past two months
Leo White
hello cutie
Luke Nelson
be warned that audeze has an inside-your-head style of signature. this means that female vocals are in your face and no little depth. most cans have this issue it's just more apparent on audeze. it does female vocals amazing it's just it sounds like women are singing 2 feet from your face
Sebastian Gonzalez
amd was a good buy, but no where near as good as crypto. Also you better be careful with that legacy market. It's due for its next recession real soon.
Asher Allen
Some user actually has both. Prefers HD600 for the mids. Personally, I'm mid-centric. Voices + most of the instruments do live there. Forward bass just gives me a headache. I'm not even considering the HE400i because of that.
Kayden Young
>in your face I was told that of the HD600. Turns out, it's totally fine; People were exaggerating.
Brody Collins
Yup. Headphones are subjective! I say we set aside your differences and hug it out :)
Nicholas Smith
Me waiting for my student loan disbursement to buy my he400i, hd600, and msr7
Easton Morris
I've also got crypto, but slowass (not a multi-gpu dedicated mining rig). It's so much better than using a heater, in the winter.
Joshua Williams
>People were exaggerating they weren't exaggerating, it just doesn't bother you. And yeah it happens to the HD600; there's only a handful of cans that don't do that: HD800, T1, MA900, orpheus, he-6 (maybe), AD1000X (not sure), etc. Anything with a wide presentation but does mids well.
Asher Lopez
>sell the best 2/3rds of your life to buy better headphones nah I'm good man the way I got it set up uncle sam is giving me 8920 in cash a year, paying the rent, paying the electricity water and oil, and throwing me an extra $1956 in food stamps a year just for shits. Not worth the effort of getting "marketable skills".
Luis Nelson
It's ok, it doesn't sound typical in-your-head closed. And that's with me being used to HD598's exaggerated soundstage.
Benjamin Sanchez
if you learned a trade you could be making 6x-10x that number. While being a productive member of society.
Adam Peterson
>leeching on taxpayers Disgraceful. Fuck welfare, with a cactus.
Angel Myers
yeah but then I have to work
Camden Morris
and people say socialism doesn't work :^)
Christopher Watson
>not finding satisfaction in work If you have a disability I understand your position but when I finish a speaker cabinet and solder a crossover together it feels like bliss.
Nolan Thomas
I assure you no job is as good as sitting in a comfy chair on your ergonomic computer shit posting with you nice people and listening to super comfy headphones. Is there a headphone more comfortable than a beyerdynamic dt? I think not!
Angel Evans
Socialism works in the sense that it provides the middle class with a safety net. Communism doesn't work because it doesn't give people an incentive to at least provide to an economy.
I'm all for one payer healthcare, disability services, and financial assistance but I feel that unless you're crippled or disabled you should at least work part time to receive those things.
Christopher Moore
Wrong! K712 have the comfiest god-tier pads
Blake White
>it provides the middle class with a safety net I don't want to get into a politics debate on Sup Forums but no, it made the middle class NEED a safety net. there's a HUGE difference.
Ryan Young
I will have to buy some then. Thank you for the rec Anonymous!!
Lucas Sullivan
Shame all the other AKGs aren't as comfy. Q701s would have been nice too if the headband bumps didn't dig into you so much
Luke King
I make more leftover money every paycheck than you do in a year and I work 3 days a week (3x12 hours) at home in my comfy chair choosing between whatever headphones I feel like.
Life is so much better after I stopped being a NEET, more material possessions mean more happier.
This guy gets it!
Evan Lewis
Jesus christ three peroids of 12 hours of straight up work? That's not worth the extra money. Once you get to the point I'm at more money doesn't make you any happier. All you need is enough to eat and maintain your computer, as well as it's peripherals. I wouldn't trade 36 of my hours for more money. It's the same thing in headphones. Once you get past the $300 range the return for your money falls off rapidly. Most people say that if you start off with an hd600 you'll save yourself a ton in the long run.
Nolan Jenkins
you are delusional and trying to rationalize why you don't spend time bettering yourself and your career
Jaxon Lewis
I guess but why does it matter if the end result is still the same? Instead of looking forward to coming home from work all day, I'm already here! The reason you go to work is to have a place to come home to, I got that with out working so fuck yeah. Is the IE800 any good? The design is really nice and seems pretty unique in the midrange IEM category.
Carter Garcia
It's not bad, I have incredible insomnia anyways. My coworkers also enjoy it, you still have plenty of time to sleep and eat since there's no commute time to work.
Hell, even when I have to work in the office, we spend most of our time comparing and sharing headphones and lice
I love my job, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone to be stuck as a NEET
William Powell
If you can tolerate dealing with Assdrop the K7XX is pretty much identical sound-wise to the K712 and costs a fair bit less. The drivers and pads are both from the K702 anniversary edition and they are indeed extremely comfortable.
Zachary Hall
HD600
Dylan Jones
This Am . I forgot about those. They're a nice deal if you can wait, but I can never wait for headphones that long. The stress of waiting will kill me
Charles Wood
Should i get the gr07 bass edition? Anything better in the price range?
Connor Fisher
$699??
Adrian Butler
>Why are you not using a cute anime girl with a question mark over her head picture? I did, but I got hit with the image replacement bug.
Jace Bailey
I wish I was NEET still. Born poor die poor since I material objects really never make me happy just a moment of joy. I wish I was born not content with what I have so I'd feel a reason to try.
Does anyone know of a pair of earphones that are almost invisible? I've looked before but can't find any.
Cameron Morales
Does not internally increase sample rate for signal processing. Baseband reconstruction of discrete samples has two key issues intended to be addressed by oversampling. One is quantization error. Quantization artifacts are spread out beyond the range of the original signal. Another is the analog filter. A more relaxed analog filter (usually Bessel) can used to remove ultrasonic spurious solutions that come out from analog reconstruction. The "images" are pushed further up so that a low order filter can suppress them fully.
Isaiah Perry
Wrong, the sound isn't the best but the SHP9500 is the comfiest set of headphones so far, with the AudioQuest NightOwl/NightHawk Carbon coming second on comfy. So far in my comfy quest I've tried the following other ones at home, from friends or in store:
Senn 598Cs/HD380/HD650//HD700 Monoprice M1060 AKG K550/K7XX Fidelio X2 Phillips A5Pro Oppo PM3 BeyerDynamic 770/880 Grado SR80e and many more Grados ATH m50X Sony MDRV6/MDR1A Bose QC35
I stand by the SHP9500 for comfort. If there's a comfier one, I'd be happier to hear of it.
