East Slavic languages: pretty good
West Slavic langs: partially intelligible, especially Bolish

It's interesting that I don't understand Czech very well, but I understand Slovakian almost completely.

I can partly understand south slav languages.
I can decently understand Czech and Polish (i know Polish)
I'm pretty fluent in Ukrainian and Belarusian.

>youtube.com/watch?v=To8aLleTfKc I didn't understand a word of it.

>museli=we had to
right?

>at 90%
me too but only written
also not 90% more like 80%

He yвepeн, чтo этo тaк лeгкo для вac. Бeз пepeвoдчикa или cлoвapя этo coмнитeльнo, хoтя, ceйчac пocмoтpим.

Years ago when I was in England to pick strawberries as a summer job, there was this Russian cutie and she spoke to me in Russian and I spoke to her in English and we understood each other even while literally speaking different languages.

It was pretty cool.

So sometimes even understanding a language without being able to speak it can be useful as long as the other understands a language that you can speak.

>voice-overing games
Now that's just weird

>Russian is more understandable than Czech
How is that even possible? You're in the same language group

Dunno, Slovak is way easier to understand but I understand more Russian than Czech.

i can understand individual words in russian but i can't understand a full sentence most of the time

also it's easy bulgarians to understand other slavic languages like russian and serb but it's harder for them to understand us because we have no cases

example for "fuck your mother":
jebem ti majku - serbo-croat
da ti eba maikata - bulgarian

what about maika ti da eba, ebal sum ti maikata and da eba maika ti?

what about this polish bitch singing in czech

youtube.com/watch?v=ac8v0WsJpZs

>jebem ti majku
>south slav languages
hehe it literally means
WE (not i) FUCK YOU SINGLET\TANK(clothing)
i'm fucking your mother, have you fucked your mother? Something like this i guess.

50%

>calling majica majka
damn...

Can anyone understand this?

youtube.com/watch?v=cJ66gr8P1Bs

Wtf shes polish?

>WE (not i)
same here
jebem te means we fuck you while in their language it can mean i fuck you

also maika means tank top there? top kek
here we call it potnik

>i'm fucking your mother, have you fucked your mother? Something like this i guess.
first ones is i'll fuck your mother second one is i've fucked your mother

>calling a potnik "mother"
autistic serbocroats 2bh

yeah, very hard to understand haha
ciganin da te ebe :)

how much you guys understand this song? youtube.com/watch?v=XcQdJyo1B-8
30-40%

>also it's easy bulgarians to understand other slavic languages like russian and serb but it's harder for them to understand us because we have no cases
It's exactly the opposite actually. It's easier to get used to a new system when you see familiar elements (prepositions for us) than something completely new (noun cases endings for you). The verb system can be a problem for us, not the lack of cases.

Naoštri noževe? Sharpen the knives?
I gues I can understand a few words and frazes and that's it.

Fucking lold.
I know basic polish but understood like 80% from first minute.

I guessed it means 'na ostrzu noża' (like a blade fight)

aкo ти кaжa цялo изpeчeниe нямa дa ти e тoлкoвa лecнo дa paзбepeш бeз пpeвoдaчa, cpъбapчe

>The verb system can be a problem for us, not the lack of cases.
what do you mean?

only Serbian parts, can't understand croatian or bosnian parts

I understand Slovak in like 80%

Ne, hercegovskega dela nisem razumel.

Rap is not a really god thing to post.Sometimes I can't understand rap in my own language.

I can't understand 100%, but I can understand enough to get what he wanted to say, and I don't need пpeвoдaч

All of them except south slavic, especially bulgarian(can't understand nothing at all)

Now it's your turn. (according to the rap thematic)
youtube.com/watch?v=eyGQO9n7jOA

How is it understandable?

>пopeбpик

шaвepмa

maybe this then youtube.com/watch?v=ePNUSmH3dMI

uf only about 60-70%, maybe cozz its rap, it doesn't really let me to process well what he is saying

I think I heard the word zaplakala - I believe it means "she started crying" and I think he mentioned a rifle and hands. I didn't understand anything else.
Here's a non-rap song.
youtube.com/watch?v=l-T8FRLrCNg

The rest of Slavic languages threw out the imperfect and aorist forms and simply use the perfect ones (zhdal, shol, videl) instead.

>especially bulgarian(can't understand nothing at all)
strange
most russians tell me that they can understand bulgarian best out of the south slavic languages

Fast water
Green valley
Mountains
I understood words like that, and i can guess the meaning of the song.

Music in general is harder to understand.
It's best to post a speech from some sort of a speaker, like a TV host or something.
Something like this.
youtube.com/watch?v=v06nUVcJU-s

Still Polish sounds really alien to me and I can understand 20% of it at best.

youtu.be/HRLBwuKu-Bc

What about this

>Fast water
Bistre vode translates to clear waters.

About immigrants
youtube.com/watch?v=XXVDB6qWDCs
South Slavic languages sound alien to me, too bad

Do anyone know Sorbian? How is it?

i used to think i understood but then i looked up the translation and it turned out to be entirely different from what i thought it was, serbian and croatian are easier for me

This rap song may not be a good representative, but here it goes. If it doesn't go well, I'll post some 'normal' song.

youtube.com/watch?v=Pxjz3TC_-t8

Sing songy languages that sound adorable.

the song name is "punished"
i undestood
"everyone gives a fuck about ..." other is pretty smooth
gotcha
