This is the full version, with a Soprano and full orchestra and all the Stanzas, even though we only really use the first one. I like it because it's grandiose for a great past like most southern Europe, but it's much more melancholic than the other rather festive countries, which is very typically Portuguese. I really like the full blown crescendo to the chorus and the switch from major to minor key in the verse.
Some general concept of battle. Our anthem probably fits in that category since it was adapted from an old war song to a general war one.

The Spanish one has no official lyrics, but the most common ones are for the country, I think. It's a rather nice-sounding one, if a bit too chirpy for my specific tastes. Catchy tune, though.
