Plasma 5 actually has fantastic power management these days.
Use fedora, do a minimal/server install and then only install what you need.
Make sure you enable tlp, copr is just like the aur for fedora

It's not a ThinkPad, and nah it came with win 10, obviously I would prefer windows 7 but I don't have a code to activate windows 7 and I am considering lubuntu but Microsoft office works better than libre office so whatever. I only use it for coding and browsing the internet and haven't experienced any lag yet so I don't mind honestly.
