cute!

oh double u oh. what is this?

That speed comes at a cost :^)

what cost

>not CIA but that would be the PST

nah I can't believe I haven't started to use it before as of late. Use it till chrome came.
Then it turned out to be spyware, then jumped to mozilla train and that turned out to be a fucking botnet and SJW cuckfest
>So back at opera and fucking loving it
>Slick and fast
Also I don't trust american crapware anymore
might as well just start to use NK software while at it

Ask George Soros

Tried it, slower and uglier than v55.0.3 x64, Classic Theme Restorer doesn't work, it's fucking shit.
Kys.

You are like little baby. Watch this.

H-HAIYAI

When will the regular firefox get there?

14 November

is https everywhere supported yet?
is lastpass supported yet?

HTTPS Everywhere has a test version
eff.org/files/https-everywhere-test/index.html

god damn it i hate Sup Forums

...

he's not wrong tho
see the ceo

Tried alpha, really fast. Can new describe new spy options in about:config?

Logo is cyberpunk with the neon, very asthetic

I tried out Nightly the other day and it's awesome, but why are all the vim plugins so fucking slow? It takes 2-3 second for the hints to appear. On chrome it's instant. I tried 3 different plugins and it's all the same.

>unironically using a botnet extension

>using ghostery
nigger

which one do I use Sup Forums?

prism-break.org/en/categories/gnu-linux/

i know this OP keeps getting spammed, but it did convince me to use nightly. So far i have been very impressed with the speed and the ui. The lack of good extensions is annoying, though.

SJWfox is for communists and faggots

Google Chrome is faster.

>https everywhere
>when smart https exists and is objectively better at what it does

HOLY SHIT STOP SHILLING, BTFO FIREKEK

$0.01 has been deposited into your Googleâ„¢ Wallet.

>ghostery

?
CEO is a white guy
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Beard_(executive)

What's the difference?

HTTPS Everywhere relies on internally-kept lists to redirect you to the secure version of sites. Smart HTTPS automatically rewrites all URLs to https and adds sites that don't support it to a blacklist
tl;dr whitelist vs blacklist

>googlefox
>fast
not possible

It's shit
Since Firefox 55 they broke html5 geolocation
MLS (mozilla location service) sucks balls

Does it have proper support for WebRTC now? Hate having to open up Chrome every time I want to use voice chat in Discord.

Another important difference is that HTTPS Everywhere handles 3rd party background connections on top of the page address, whereas Smart HTTPS only handles the page address.

damn was about to switch to smart https until this

why do you keep shilling this shit?

>not turning off geolocation
for what purpose?
anyway the old backend was fucking google, maybe it worked well but it was a terrible idea to use it in the first place.

>enable webrender
>have an epilepsy episode
Thanks mozilla.

I use firefox proper. Haven't used anything else since 05. I'm mad that the company is run by communists now but my muscle memory gor firefox is perfect, so i cant switch to something that has buttons in diffrent positions than firefox proper. Does ops fork look the same or what?

This, pol needs to stay on their containment board

Don't lie!
It's slower than stable Firefox due to JavaScript memory poisoning for debugging.

Us:
>Please don't bring politics into a tech board

You:
>Ok but here's some more politics

Fuck the hell off back to Sup Forums, you are on the wrong board.

Not everything you dislike is a nazi or Sup Forums or needs to leave; grow up.

>requires pulseaudio to play sound

Calling a neon logo feminist is explicitly making something apolitical political

GROW UP

Not everything you dislike is feminist or SJW; grow up.

emerge apulse; emerge firefox

I don't want to use pulseaudio. That's my point. Literally everything else on my laptop is fine with alsa.

>closed source browser
>ghostery

What about Icecat? When will it get the updates?

Smart HTTPS' approach is wrong, HTTPS Everywhere's approach is correct. You should never enforce HTTPS requests and then "dumb it down" if those really can't work. At most, you may block unencrypted requests. It's not your role as a client to rewrite all http requests, at best it's your role to choose https when available. HTTPS Everywhere works around corner cases and dumb webdevs. Also, HTTPS could be misconfigured on the server and lead you to a different website (eg. the TLS cert was deemed only for a peculiar subdomain; you're enforcing it and therefore enforcing a CSR that will be different from the expected one).
That's just to name of few things that are utterly wrong in Smart HTTPS. There's additional fingerprinting on top of it, and different various issues.
TL;DR block unencrypted requests in HTTPS Everywhere and call it a day.

Me neither but it's transparent and just a very small shim for the pulselibs. I'm not going to switch to some chrom*botnet, furrymoon or pajeet browser over this

>Using Ghostery

>We are overjoyed to announce that the Ghostery extension and mobile browsers have been acquired by Cliqz

>Additionally, as part of this acquisition, Ghostery and Cliqz will continue to work closely with our previous parent company, Evidon, to help the organization support its industry-leading Digital Governance solutions by continuing to provide the same aggregated tracker data that we have previously.

Ghostery has always sold your data to ad companies and still does. You are an ignorant, gullible fool if you use it.

uBlock Origin is all you need

>proprietary software
>calling other people CIA niggers
kek nice try

>mozilla
>not sjw

Just stop.

>Smart HTTPS only handles the page address.
hence, it's useless.

>m-muh sjw
god dude, can you fucking stop?

Holy shit, it's so botnet

>here's some more politics
This isn't a politics board man. Please keep it in Sup Forums.

...

Some of us actually work in the field and have to deal with this IRL

>Some of us actually have to deal with politics IRL
That's fine, take it to the politics board.

I don't mind him bringing politics if it's relevant, and it is. Why dont YOU go back to ribbit?

found the Sup Forumsews

>firefox
>botnet

>I want to discuss tech
>come to the tech board
>see thread that's titled about firefox's speed
>cool I wonder what the thread says
>open thread
>It's filled with Sup Forums calling people jews and sjw's
>mfw

Can you guys please go back to Sup Forums? Please.

...

I'm been on Firefox ESR for year or so now (with Debian). Tried Firefox Developer Edition once, and I was pretty shocked with how fast it was... maybe I should switch over? I carefully maintain a suite of plugins which I'm sort of relying that they don't break.

Still no hw acceleration

into the trash it goes

>come to the asshole of the internet
>surprised that it's filled with shit

Versions 57+ are when the real speed changes will occur. You should try out Nightly

>about:config
>layers.acceleration.force-enabled : true
holy shit it was so hard

...
