I'd go with the Asus, the Predator is hideous.

What the Asus looks like

Those both look like shit.

Get a Gigabyte.

>Gigabyte

no name no support brand

What a sub 200 dollar atom laptop that doesn't break into a tablet?

Buy it off Xotic and use their support then.

...

Okay anons, can you help me out here. I live in Finland ergo electronics are bloody expensive thanks to 24 import tax and my budget is measly 500-600 euros

>size/portability
Im looking something at the size of Macbook. Thinkpads for example are too big
>Specs
Should run mathlab and programs related to engineering/math in general. Also lol, it must play lol
>Misc
SSD and 1920 would be nice

Could you kind anons give any pointers like brands etc?

xiaomeme

I dont want to get blown off by the lack of warranty desu

A year and a half ago I bought a top spec macbook pro 15"

Today I find myself needing to upgrade because it's simply not good enough for 4k editing. What machine should I go for? I don't mind upgrading to the new MBP15 but it looks like there's so much choice out there.

Is there anything better than the new MBP15 which also rivals its battery life?

just go with MB if that's what you really want

>spend 2k on a laptop
>not even two years out of it
>wants to buy another

>MacBook
Id rather not, I desire bang for my buck. I just used it as a example about desired portability

HP Elitebook
Asus Zenbook
or any other Windows MB competitor

Macfags in a nutshell.

Thinkpad t470p and xps 15

First two are either rather large or too expensive
>MB Mikrosoft competitors
What do you mean? Surface?

Hows Yoga by the way?

Macbook, yes or no?

Silver, or Space Gray?

>thought I was master trole and then I look up and see half the thread is unironically about macs

I work with my laptop, I can't afford to deal with OS bullshits all the time but I'm considering migrating to windows because of how expensive the new mbp has become.
Also the battery life is unbelievably good.

I know they're powerful but is the battery something I can depend on?

>battery

just buy multiple battery packs

Bought a MSI GL62M a month ago for $549 CAD on eBay. Total steal for a 2GB 1050, 2.80GHz i7-7700HQA, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD and 32GB RAM. Despite all the complaints I've heard of the 1050 being a mediocre card (which it is), I've been able to play AAA titles on high settings in 1080p and not break 55 - 60 frames. Wish the 2GB was at least a 4GB 1050Ti, though.

just buy some used high-end laptop. some companies offer one year warranties.

I have the Dell XPS 13

Its literally the slickest and most comfy piece of tech Ive ever bought

GNU/Linux support is amazing aswell

So I need a new laptop, any user wanna help out?
>location
UK
>size/portability
12-13'' preferably, I need a laptop just for portability
>Specs
I need it for programming so I just need it to run IDEs decently (even though most of the time I'll be using Vim, uni course needs me to use shitty IDEs)
>Misc
SSD would be very nice.
>Budget
Around £400-500; else I'd just get a Dell XPS 13

I'm thinking of getting a refurbished thinkmeme x230
cause it meets all these requirements but I've heard the display might be eyecancer, any other suggestions?

Is there any quad-core laptops under 14 inch and under 600? Don't care if not new.

Lenovo had one S201 I believe.

So I've been using my Dell e6230 for a while now (bought a refurb one for equivalent of ~280 $) and was looking for a replacement, but couldn't really justify spending >1k no something, that would be ~30% faster than my current puppy.

Today I've found Acer Swift 3 with the new Coffee Lake CPU and GeForce MX150, which seems great (not too expensive; pretty much same weight, but with 2 extra inches of screen; seemingly good work-related performance and good GPU (for a lightweight laptop, that is).

Has the time come to shell out the shackles?

Thoughts on Xiaomi Notebooks? Especially the Mac-esque ones?

>gayming laptops
Don't. Just don't.

Any hints on where to get a good deal on gaming laptops for australians.

Massive import taxes and generally fucked on tech prices and all that

Need a laptop with a 1050 ti for $1000 or less. Recommend me the best.

Do you guys reckon this amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074115BLR/ref=psdcmw_13896615011_t2_B073G2L9PH?th=1&psc=1

Is worth the price hike compared to this amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06Y4GZS9C/ref=psdcmw_13896615011_t1_B01ND01X1Y?th=1&psc=1

GUYS PLEASE HELP

I need a ""ultrabook"" that will run linux.

14"+ screen, < 1.5 kg, 10+ hours battery

Was gonna get an Acer Swift 5 but it's constantly out of stock here in Britbong. Also their Linux support is flaky

Go to Mediamarket or whatever it's called in Stockholm, similar to UK prices on a ton of laptops, might be worth the trip.

man 3d monitors have come a long way.

watching porn on must be fun, the guy could jizz straight onto you

>replaceable batteries on an apple product
Are you retarded?

It's your own damn fault for buying a laptop for 4k editing, you need at least twice as much money then the MacBook costed to get a good enough workstation grade laptop for that.

anyone know the ultrabay compatibility arcoss memepad models?

>Dell XPS 13
this is supposedly pretty good.

>he is so technologically retarded he doesn't even think of external battery packs

just kys m8

>xe calls them external battery packs
Just call them power banks, you fucking autist.

which battery brick do you anons recommend?

>this much damage control

you're still a retard

probably not

Got a T460p. Installed an used Sierra EM7455 LTE Modem into it. It does not detect the SIM - Neither on Win10, nor on Archlinux. Updated BIOS and Firmware, reattached MAIN and AUX antenna cables. Any more guesses? PIN is deactivated for planned SIM, but tested it with another one, too - Both are known working in other devices.

Is the SIM slot fucked up or did I miss something crucial?

At my uni's surplus there's a winbook lm ts30ga, I'm thinking of getting it for the hell of having a little retro setup, but I can't find any damn info on the thing, is there any retro guys here that know the brand?

I own a 13in (6200m) and I really like it. I pretty much only use it to shitpost and watch girly cartoons from a foreign land but it was worth the $700.
