It's been beta for the last 15 years

a bit too late to the game lol.. we already vscode now

Without a terminal version it's useless.

wew laddy

If the upgraded version doesn't appear fully dark (like the tab bar), the Adaptive UI theme that ships with it should make it fully dark like this

Ctrl + Shift + P
Select Theme
Adaptive.sublime-theme

F

Poor guy MS fuck him.

What?

Free Visual Studio Code.

well, he could improve it... vscode is not perfect by any means.

ST3 could be better, if this dude started copying good things from them.

does the cia license work for it?

What the fuck they got rid of the solarized themes

Why don't you try?

deprecated by vscode and neovim

shit how long was it? VScode was so comfy but i always want to try new shit

Kill self

>Not Emacs

heil hitler

doesn't work

...

Iy vey

The amazing editor of functionality equal to KWrite or other notepad. I feel like if it wasn't for Windows, no-one would actually care (even if it was open source).

remember when it was $60?

>$80
wtf? I thought they dropped the fucking price.

seriously, wtf is happening. are we living in hyperinflation era? the prices are going up like crazy..

> paying for a text editor

new key

control+f "TwitterInc"

people paid for a text editor?

ugh

:-)

wut... looks like mook disabled unicodes. anyway, pic was related

Oh man how exciting!

vscode is shit tho, it can't do anything and is barely more functional than notepad. Can't even properly control the keybindings to do exactly what you want.

Yeah it's a shame they don't have that, but as a GUI text editor then sublime text is the best.

vscode is not even particularly good and can't even do 10% of what Sublimetext can. Even just sublimetexts capabilities to intelligently select text and edit several places at once is much better than vscode where you can only do it if the text you are editing is right on top of eachother.

I will pay soon, I have been using it free, but it's good and I use it all the time.

Rekky rekkt

>vscode is not even particularly good and can't even do 10% of what Sublimetext can.

Orly? how about some examples you shill?

>vscode is not even particularly good and can't even do 10% of what Sublimetext can.
I think you have that backwards. sublime plugins almost always are less polished and have less features than the corresponding vscode extensions

the only thing I care about is basic vim support, basic multi cursor and typescript/js support

vscode has best typescript/js support by far. maybe only IDE's like intellij webstorm have better support now.

also, vscode looks fucking better and yu can customize it since its a fucking browser

Guess i wont be updating then.

use a keybinding to select several places at the same time in the document using a regular expression. And then editing all of them at once.

Saves tons of time.

vscode can't do shit tho... Even with extensions.

well that is all what vscode has... BASIC multi cursor support. while extending that support is super useful.

madman

thanks goodman

>vscode can't do shit tho... Even with extensions.
what does that even mean? I'm doing electron development with it 8 hours a day. the typescript support is amazing. I also have a good python setup for writing utility scripts with linter integration, code completion, debugging and shit. sublime text has worse support for both

I also tried C# and Java. vscode is better with those as well, but I don't use that because I use intellij for Java and I don't do any C# really

>use a keybinding to select several places at the same time in the document using a regular expression. And then editing all of them at once

Search with regular expression and multicursors?

Ditto, VS Code has it too.

mom's gotta live

Wasn't ST2 going to be open sourced when ST3 was officially released?

Old serial from Reddit stopped working
Manager just bought me a fresh one
Feels good man

Can he deactivate my ST3 after a succesful registration with this key?

But sublime text is not open source? how do you know is not getting metrics or sending information to China servers?

Fucku

That Sublime POS can't event install packages directly from the internet, into the trash it goes.

what are you even talking about?

Are you 12?

Fucker

>can't even do 10% of what Sublimetext can
baiting this hard

In VSCode you can download and install packages in the package manager directly from the editor, I can install new packages or update them, Sublime Can't.

fuck you and your goat ass

Quick reminder to never pay for your sublime but just use a the licence from the CIA.

wikileaks.org/ciav7p1/cms/page_9535650.html

Are you retarded?

sublime text is the best. Have been using it for years, and it's so satisfying.

Fuck atom. It's pure electron cancer.

Are you faggot?

Show me where Sublime has that option.

no, only down the line, in like 5 releases the key will not work anymore
been using sublime text like this for roughly 5 years

Confirmed retard. Learn how your tools work before shitting on them.

Quick reminder to not be a jew and to pay for shit if you use it professionally

well it can't

Sublimetext does this from the package manager. But much better and easier than VSCode

...

For anons who want the legacy colour schemes back, add the following to your settings:

No thanks.

Just use the NSA's keys.

It's blacklisted you dummy.

just wait for the offset character which makes licenses unnecessary

Fucking why though? I mean yea I get that he wants money for his product but THAT fucking much for such a tiny thing?

Thanks Twitter.

Current (git master) neovim and vscode are faster now...
It was its only one advantage but now it's too late.

> Tiny thing
> Software that literally earns me $20 daily
user you have to get a better job

...

Does the CIA key still work? It worked fine in the beta

Fuuuck

Are the themes missing for anyone else after upgrading? For some reason they're no longer in the menu, there are only two choose from.

I am going to have to become a cock-sucking vscode user now.

"show_legacy_color_schemes": true

shill mock discussion bump intensifies

Are you fucking kidding me, themes are considered legacy now? WTF

Au contraire, they added a live preview thing. It's under Preferences > Theme.

SublimeText is worth 20$
VSCode is better, and not much slower

Thanks, user.
