Iteresting thing about it's based off pic related (which is real btw).
The picture is most likely a a metal monster covered in oil or a reflective paint. Urban legend is it's a 8 ft tall alien that would randomly appear to those lost in the woods and make them freeze with fear before dragging them off to a flying saucer to later be dissected.
