They already have some DRM in html5 spec. It works for netflix since you need authed accounts to download, but for youtube it's much harder. All they will do is piss of Sup Forums autists and cause the creation of a youtube-dl online api service.

I had sound working on 9.10 and now on 10.0 on all resolutions. The current version has a warning below that if you use the external player you won't get sound stream on some resolutions. This is the only thing that I see which would cause the issue. Try updating to 10.0 and clearing the app's data. It will reset all your settings to default and the default settings support audio on FHD.

The warning is there in 9.10 as well, but as I said I don't have it enabled (neither the external video or audio player options).
I'm not alone with this issue (see also ) and it was discussed on github, but the devs seem to have completely misunderstood or ignored the downloading video part.

Honestly porting youtube-dl doesn't seem that hard at all. Just run the binary in the background and have an android activity that interfaces with it (Gives it commands, etc). Saw in this same thread someone's working on it so I won't bother trying to make one (unless you faggots really want me to, and why would you want that?)
