there's just no competition for Electron because it's the best, easiest to use platform for multiplatform programs with rich GUIs. there's nothing that even comes close. nothing that has such a large, active community, and such ready availability of tools and libraries. it's "slow" only on 15-years old PCs. it doesn't matter to anyone who's got a PC built in this decade.

Git CLI on Linux, the electron app is still in beta you can get the normal windows github app too. You can also switch to hit CLI on windows
