Which one of you made “The Chan” app? (on the App Store; I thought all Sup Forums apps were banned?) Discovered it because iOS 11 subtly broke Fortune. I have to say it’s really really solid. Some little additions would be nice, like the options for actual flags and coloured poster ids, but that’s nitpicking.
Of course I pirated it because I assume it would be garbage. I apologize.

It’s a much nicer experience in an app than in a browser, even with the JavaScript extensions.
People do LOTS of things through apps on mobile they could do through the browser since the apps are just slicker and work better.

For me with a smaller-screened SE the browser UI eats up too much real estate (much worse now with iOS 11).

TheChan has been on the App Store for a long time now and hasn't been banned. I think the main problem is that little 12 year olds get a hold of the apps and then their moms get mad when they confiscate Billy's phone and see shitting dicknipples and such.

The Chan has turned off media by default so underaged needs to accept the the caution message first if they want NSFW. Pretty neat to not get lawsuits and trouble

I have one sitting here next to me but I'm not yet convinced it's a sensible purchase. Mine has a slightly dark area on the screen, nothing out of the ordinary for an LCD but it's hard to stomach when I paid so much—$2450 total. Probably gonna see if AppleCare will replace the screen for me. If not I might sell it and just buy a (relatively) cheap 2015 15" with 16GB on eBay.
