Say something nice about PHP

Everyone likes to hate on PHP, but let's face it, it's an extremely successful language.

What do you like most about PHP?

The naming convention for the standard library is complete bonkers but there's already a function for everything.

It has true and false boolean values.

It's easy for brainlets to pick up

>What do you like most about PHP?

Fat Free Framework.

>It's easy for brainlets to pick up
We call this "life" you know.

You can edit production live via FTP without needing a complicated deployment setup.

>page 1
>book is halfway read

Slim is better

it has functions for literally everything
it integrates in web pages better than everything

htmlspecialchars will escape most malicious input.

>better
where is my ORM then?

The other pages are just several sheets glued together.

>it's an extremely successful language.
>>facebook
Facebook had to write an entirely new interpreter for it because the commonly used reference one was such garbage

You can use eloquent.

>Say something nice about PHP
writing all those $ makes me think i actually have money... and a job

But you cqn actually have a job, unlikw haskelfags.

If I'm gonna use Eloquent, why not just use Laravel then?

successful != good

Those services are nothing special, and its success is not due to PHP, it just happens they use PHP.

The only good thing about PHP is that is less bloated than Javascript, but again, that goes away when you put some filthy awfully designed framework on top of it.

I think you meant successful !== good.

>awfully designed framework
>laravel
Pick one

Touché

>laravel

Never used it so I wouldn't know about that one in particular

I can type literally whatever I like here without having to worry about escaping quotes or anything how nice is that

>GNU Social

curl_multi_exec
it doesn't disappoint i'm hitting benchmark level
