>his file manager can't dynamically resize icon spacing
when will you switch to superior KDE?
His file manager can't dynamically resize icon spacing
look at that choppy bloat holy shit kek
gnome for reference
Fucking awful
or xfce
none of them can do it like KDE or even windows explorer
This honestly looks a hundred times better than the garbage fire OP posted.
this is proper
this is disgusting and is probably something a woman thought would look good
>needing icons
>needing a GUI
>needing shitty animations
I thought this was Sup Forums, not /gd/
even windows can do it
why can't any other linux de do it then?
That's not even a good attempt at implementing their intent. Nevermind how it's a completely superfluous feature that offers a user nothing in something they spend less than a thousandth of their time doing.
What should be done is fade out the icons that are moved and fade them in their new location. And don't snap anything. Just look at the rightmost row. What's the point in that jumping around? It has extremely minimal adjustments to make that could be slid around in an aesthetically pleasing way.
literally a feature of windows since the 90s
OP here
although fucking gnome nautilus has a super secret special flag hidden deep in some config where you can enable this
bbb
it's still experimental, I've had some weird glitches for images with thumbnails with that enabled
>de
They are file managers, retard.
>why can't Linux blah blah
Function over form
So this is what kde developer do instead of fixing bullshit?
I prefer it like this
not retarded
retarded
Same in GNOME.
>1366x768
You're a nigger, Harry
Why the delay?
>CSS bootstrap tier design
>desktop program
Welche distro ist das? Looks beautiful
Irrelevant, it's GNOME, you can get any GNOME to look like that.
Dash-to-dock
arc-osx theme
Why is there such a huge delay?
fucking padding. Padding everywhere.
I SEE YOU'RE RUNNING GNOME
what padding?
>UI adds artificial delay to my actions
No thanks. This is shit that looks good in presentations and ads, but it's not productive.
>that drunkmode delay
I hate animations in GUIs, they're almost always distracting and not at all useful. in this case they certainly don't look helpful
The other problem is that you can't accurately predict the grid layout at different window sizes when the spacing constantly changes. eg: when you want to quickly find an appropriate bait image to post on Sup Forums
I have been using KDE for over 7 years and have almost never used Dolphin.
When I did use a GUI FM it was Krusader but really, most file operations are done better on the shell.
>giving a shit about useless shit like this
because KDE is shite
Someone post macOS.
...
it can, though
the effects somehow clash and this is the end result
nice
Did you seriously take the time to screen record such non-feature bloat?
Take a moment to reflect on your level of autism.
It looks so bad though. It only does it after you're done resizing wtf.
When i can get more than 5.5hrs of battery life with it, i will switch to it from i3-gaps
windows does it better
