>itt images that trigger other people

Mechanical keyboards don't have this problem.

Instead they are loud as all fuck

If my keyboard ever gets that disgusting it's going straight into the trash.
But it won't since I'm not an Untermensch who eats at his PC.

I eat at my pc granted but I don't eat over it, pure filth to do otherwise

>t. mushy cheapshit keyboard owner

Think I would pay more than 50 for a tray with buttons on it

>Nothing under 300 is good
Me and my keyboard would like a word with you
(Hama uRage illuminated, it doesn't flash RGB either so it's better than whatever you consider acceptable)

It's not food for the most part. It's hair, cat hair and dandruff. Granted, there were also some crumbs.

This.
Hama makes too good products for the price.

Imagine licking it clean.

The keys won't come off.

apply even pressure on all sides. there are special little tongs for this

I have tried, I'll probably need that tool for this.

get a ducky for $90 you piece of shit

how do u clean the switches in a mech keyboard? I spilled juice in some of them and rubbing alcohol is insufficient.

WD-40 or any other force spray-cleaner. Use small nozzles.

>wd-40
>not trichloromethane or dimethylnaphthalene

>brush it off with a paint brush and 100% ethanol
>notice smooth bumps on the keyboard
>think its grime
>its actually the paint bloating and flaking off revealing rusted steel

not even sure how this happened. it was rusted before the paint got scraped off.

>not just blowing on it real real hard

>paint brush and 100% ethanol

That's... actually something. Thanks for the idea.

>thinking blowing on it will strip it of all the crap it contains

Solvents exist for a reason.

yeah just be careful with what substances you're using. dont use acetone at all because it will melt your keycaps

just brushing off is not enough,
you've got to disassemble the plastics and wash/brush them in warm water and dish soap. The keys as well.
Then it will be like new

Actually you should just put it on a dishwashing machine.

Not a meme, google it.

won't the little parts fly all over the place?
I've cleaned keyboards by hand, it's not that hard.
Sink those fuckers in a bucket and brush away, 10 minutes tops.

>brushing in 2017
>not waterproofing your keyboard so you can stick it in the washer

Unscrew everything, remove the PCB/Plastic circuit board and wash off the casing, housing and keycaps. It can't be any easier than that, otherwise, if it's just maintenance, just wiping it off with a cloth with water is enough.

yes, but why waste a whole dishwashing cycle with just a keyboard, also it takes like half an hour.
Same job you can achieve by hand, that's what I am saying.
Anyway, whatever works for everyone

Just lick your keyboard clean after every meal.
>marked solved. thread closed.

Spilled my beer the other day on my 20 years old ps/2 keyboard that I stole from a work drawer.
>fuck some keys don't work anymore.
Never cleaned it, as far as I remember.
>mfw remove some keys.

Anyway, it's now unusable.
Do they make these anymore?
Everywhere I look, it's muh overpriced led mechanical keyboard, or muh shitty wireless combo.

objectively more bang for your buck than any mechanical

Well I'm using the exact same thing, but wireless, as temporary replacement.
And I really don't like how short the presses are.
I'd guestimate it at .2 cm, while my old keyboard was more like .4~.5cm.
Well, just looking at the keys, they're obviously twice as high.
Maybe it's just that I'm used to mashing those keys.

>Mechanical keyboards don't have this probl....

show us the space bar hole

cumstains still on the keyboard

and when it gets filthy just spend $12 to replace it

Keyboards costs about $12. I just throw it away when it gets too dirty.

em.

Yeah, but that isn't bad compared to two years of layered skin and hair and crumbs. I was actually surprised there was only one cum stain, I thought there were gonna be more in the WASD key area.

>2017
>not having a dishwasher safe mkb
why even bother to live

>opened the top shell of my mx518 shell after 10 years of not thinking anything could possibly get in there

Seconded. I'm not a poorfag, so I can afford another keyboard

>steel parts come in to the warehouse
>the warehouse is not climate controlled and is open to the guangdong sea breeze
>they sit there for a few weeks before being painted
>nobody cares because they're painting over it anyway

>a tray with buttons on it
this is why you're a nigger

you see, this isn't just a tray with buttons. it's a human interface which requires craftsmanship and accuracy. precision.
you're a fool. it's akin to saying a piano is just hammers on wire.

>it's akin to saying a piano is just hammers on wire.
>Comparing a keyboard to a piano
Nigger, are you shitting me?

I can't remove my keyboard keys without them snapping off, as far as I can tell. I'd love to clean it out properly, I've been using folded sheets of paper to guide the hair and stuff to the edge where I can grab it. Does anyone know if I can remove the keys fully?I have a Logitech G110.

>Do they make these anymore?
what keyboard are you talking about

you can literally pop them off with anything flat. i used to keep a razor blade tucked behind the print-pause keys because reasons, and it worked perfectly for that. if you shove something flat under one side, use a finger and put pressure on the other side of the key to balance it so it pops straight up and doesn't crack anything. start with the row closest to you. they'll come off just fine so don't be a pussy.

>pop them off with something flat
I'll give it a try, thanks for that

hory shet

The keyboard, one of the tools you probably use the most in your life.

lel why invest in something good, right?

get ready fags
