>gaming monitor
>1080p

i have a gtx 1070

I have those arms they are good, but only get them if you expect to move your monitor all the time, otherwise you are wasting money

well the whole point is so i can free my desk of stands so i can use it for other tjings when i need to instead of it being 90 percent stand covered

1440p on that shit nigga unless you are SUPER l337 MLG CS:GO PRO

i got 2 of them the for the same reason, and they do not fulfill that purpose, trust me

if you expect to move your monitor all the way to the back you won't be able to see shit, so you end up pulling it to the front wasting half of the desk space since you won't be using the back of the monitor, they are good quality tho

well i meant so i can wholesale move them out of the way if i need to do work on the desk it wont matter if i can see them or not

what good will 1440p do me?

it will kill you on your sleep

it wont do you any good. believe me 1440p/144hz is extremely demanding just stick with 1080/144hz and you'll be a happy camper.
t. someone who downgraded from 1440p/144hz
and don't get me wrong i 100% miss the extra screen space from 1440p but unless you're willing to splurge on SLI 1080/TI you're going to feel like a cuck spending so much money on a monitor and gpu that can only play games at low-medium settings, specifically for 144fps.

...

see this was my thinking and one of these is replacing a 32 inch television that is 1080p so ill get a slight gain in pixel density anyway

>wasting that much money on a pleb 1080p monitor
why do people do this to themselves?

it's two of them, VA panel and 144hz you mongoloid.

>curved
full retard.

is the u2717d any good? I'm looking to upgrade my 3 monitor setup (~23inch, 1920x1080 on all three) to a 27 inch 1440p setup.

>muh 144hz is the bestest
1080@144Hz is basically for peasants who want a sweet taste of the PCMR life, but can't actually afford a good enough GPU.

it is, all the DELL IPS ones are top of the line

>he thinks its hard to afford a 1080ti/titan xp

any idiot with a burger flipping job could if you are smart enough not to
to take on too many bills

What sort of unlikeable, fedora-tipping cunt made that image?

op here a dell 3440x1440 with arm is the other option im considering im just weighing out both till tax refunds

you are actually retarded and didnt pay any attention to what i posted at all

Buy the $209 1080p 144hz TN panel

And don't buy any monitor arm that isn't a freedom arm or ergo tech, everything else is shit.

>ergo tech
Ergo Tech Tree

wait I'm thinking of Space Co's monitor trees

>aoc

il pass on that gross shit

And can you explain what's wrong with it? I'm using it right now.

its a budget brand i actively avoid them

That doesn't make any sense

can you give me objective reasons to why that monitor is bad? You do realize they use the same panels everyone else uses right? ASUS doesn't make any cheap monitors? They have a $150 version that costs that much more just because of G-sync. You could buy that if spending more for the same thing will make you feel better.

pcmonitors.info/reviews/aoc-g2460pf/

actually there are two issues with both of these one they are 24 inches and 2 they are from a budget brand i am only interested in 27 inch monitors 24 is far too small

27" 1080p is like 80ppi, that's fairly low, so not very sharp, unless you have bad eye sight, or your monitor is sitting pretty far away.

You still didn't explain why the monitor is bad, what the fuck the brand have to do with anything? Everyone makes both cheap and expensive monitors. Can you at least explain to me why AOC is a budget brand? Their monitors cost the same as everyone else's because they all use the same panels. I feel like you're being retarded on purpose.

If you were going to spend more you'd likely want this korean 144hz VA display so you don't have to deal with TN

>pretending your opinion matters when you're defending 60hz
be gone console fag.

and 24 inches looks tiny im not going back to that prove to me 24 inches looks anything but small

>16:9x3 landscape is wrong
>16x9x3 portrait correct when in reality it's cancerous as fuck to look at and only works if you have 16x10 screens

27" 1080p is disgusting
go 24" 1080p 144hz or 27" 1440p 60hz/freesync/jewsync

forgot image

I don't think he can be saved man

I know, feels bad man. It's hard to explain DPI when it really is something you have to see in person. 1080p screens should have stopped at 21.5", even 24" 1080p screens are garbage. 27" just makes me want to kill myself.

I had one guy telling me he didn't want 4k no matter what despite having the money for it because it was too small to see, and even after explaining to him that 52" 4k is the same dpi as his current monitor being 27" 1080p, he wanted a really pointless like 34" 1080p Ultra wide display.

prove to m2w that 24 inch doesnt look tiny and i will consider it but i have a 32 8nch 1080p tv and a 27 inch 1080p monitor and have no lroblem with either i dont want to have t go back to squinting my eyes to see what im aiming at

Size is relative to distance, if it's too small move forward. Then you can see every shitty xboxhueg pixel on that shitty 1080p screen.

its either 1080p screen or playing games sub ultra with things turned off cause im NOT sticking with 60 hz its garbage why dobt you post the screens you would get? remember it has to be two

pic related
You probably wouldn't like them, they're not 144hz or freesync/gsync but I don't get caught up on framerate anyway. I run everything inbetween very high-ultra with frame drops but it doesn't bother me.

>3

im not getting 3 for any reason i simply don't have the deskspace i would get 1440p 144hz but my 1070 couldnt handle it very well or at least not up to 144 fps

Then wait, wait for more powerful graphic cards that can do 1440p 144hz, you're asking for things that don't exist and not willing to make compromises for better quality.

Buy your 1080p 27" screen then, just sit far far faaaar away from it and never EVER look at a 1440p/4k 27" screen EVER or you will have instant regret

im sure a gtx 1080ti could handle it but im not planning on buying one im just tired of being stuck in 60hz land i want to experience something new is that so wrong?

Any of you dudes know where I can get a replacement inverter for a Samsung 226bw?
