korea
no, but it should be

>ice

>Yamazaki
I got an unopened bottle of Hibiki here. They were selling Yamazaki too so maybe next time I'll get that.

>does not drink watered down
>pretends to enjoy

...

Ice dulls the flavour. It's supposed to be drunk at room temperature.

The only possible reason to add ice is if you don't like the burning sensation, in which case why drink it in the first place?

>he didn't just water down initially to acquire his taste
>he didn't slowly diminish the dilution to experience the full flavor of the whiskey

Honestly I just jumped straight in to acquire the taste. I didn't like it for a few years, but kept trying it. Then one day it tasted nice.

Yes it is.

Maybe are the third most popular alcohol drink.

Pic related, the cheapest whisky that usually ppl drink.

How can they call it scotch if it's not scottish?

Yes, it's becoming popular here in Southeast Asia. Especially Japanese whiskeys

I personally don't add ice but I don't see the big deal about people doing so. It's no different than adding milk to tea or coffee or salt and pepper to a steak. People add things to dial in something to their own specific tastes. I'm assuming it's the same with whiskey and they want a certain amount of bite or coldness.

According to the description of Whisky, it's made of fine malts from the highest Scottish Highlands.

>enjoys burning sensation
>enjoys losing other flavours because of intensity
whiskey isn't only about the "burn", it's also the mixture of tastes that make it. and the only way to balance those out is to either water it down or put ice in it

this man understands

I'm an amateur drinker so the only whiskey type I've tried is bourbon

Somewhat. I prefer it to vodka at least.

Uruguay drinks a ton, regions bordering drink a lot too

It'll cost me a kidney to buy a bottle of whiskey so not really.

...

Whaaaaat? The cheapest ones are like 12 dollars. And that's not that much even after our currency fell down.

>drinking whiskey for 12$
There are better ways to drink methanol, though. Cheaper ones too.

Why? Vodka is flavourless.

So is whiskey or any other drink with more than 15% of alcohol.

It's spelled "whiskey"

>flavourless.

That's so utterly wrong

You're exaggerating. Bell's 0,5 is 8,5 dollars. It's not the most posh whiskey to drink, but it will certainly not kill you.

It's such a shitty drink, honestly.

Would you be opposed to drinking American bourbon or rye?
Really. My aussie 4th grade teacher taught me to spell it that way? I have never been taught otherwise.

Vodka has a flavour

>flavourless
kill yourself

The ultimate expression of Vodka is flavourlessness. Anything else is immitation.

whisky is considered a neckbeard drink here

most people drink hypnotic and hennessy

and sometimes cognac

Actually sipping on my Gentleman Jack as we speak. I only drink whiskey.

What shitty hood are you in? incredible hulk's are garbage. henny is garbage. at least drink a good cognac.

...

basil hayden's is the way to go for bourbon.

>slants pretending to understand alcohol
Desu, go back to rice

I'll have to try it out. I just can't get enough of this Jack for only $20 a bottle at Specs.

*tips whisky cup*

well m'lady would u like 2 talk about goku's super saiyan 3 or how much better atheism is than organized religion?

Best cheap whiskey?

I love Canadian Club. It's only $16 for 1.75L and it tastes better to me than the normal ~$24 a 750mL bottle whiskeys that most people drink (jack, jim, jameson, maker's, etc.)

My mum is not allowing me to drink.

>how much better atheism is than organized religion
This is so American...

As for bottom shelf whiskeys. It's either Canadian Club or Evan Williams. I can get a handle of Evan for $16 as well.

Vat 69 is muh cheap whiskey of choice.

evan is definitely the best of the bottom shelf.

only americans who drink whiskey

based americans who only drink vodka and listen to vitas only care about happiness

in america vodka is for women, hipster men, or eastern european immigrants

russians in charge of identifying a sarcastic post

>this kills the czech

???
burnetts and popov are the most common liquors for underage drinking here i would say

True. Real men like me drink tequila

Only bad vodkas have taste.

Flag
Yes, it is so popular that we have two different kinds of whiskEy

>most people drink hypnotic and hennessy
Found the nigger

I mean seeing atheism as something weird and edgy. It broke my thinking patterns the first time I've experienced this stereotype.

Yamazaki is god tier
Too bad it is approaching 100 dollars now

Here you can find it for 50-60 dollarydoos in shops that bought it back when it was cheap and since theres no demand for it they never increased the price. Im considering re-selling on ebay.

>russian
>drinking for all ages
u sure senpai

You won't believe, but it's 18 generally and in some public places it's 21.

But most being drinking around ~12.

Don't know about most, but I personally did. Then vomited excitedly, passed out and didn't try anything alcoholic 'til my 18th birthday.

>one of your friends steals some from his father's booze
>you all drink it behind a commieblock/on a birthday party/after school
>vomit everywhere
Its how it goes.

Actually, we were celebrating some local slavic pagan festival with some cheap even more local dark beer. While burning massive ammounts of car tires. It was fun.

Whisky is actually surprisingly not so popular here. At least not when compared to cheap wine, cheap beers, vodka and rums. When people drink they go out to party, and get drunk however they can. So they'll go for beers, MD 20 20, vodka and coke etc.

Whisky is barely used for that and only older people tend to actually drink it unless someone is genuinely into it, or it's a special occasion.

>MD 20 20

For the sesh

Hey can any leaf hear explain why Black Velvet is so shit?

anything that has percentage is popular

>niggers

>U N T E R G Ä R I G
>N
>T
>E
>R
>G

>R
>I
>G

No, it tastes like shit if you have liters of rakije everywhere to compare.

>pronounced whis-key
>autists still spell it -whi-sky

Can someone explain this? I understand people misspelling it years ago when literacy rates were low,but why is this still a thing in 2016?

Literally never heard anyone call it whi-sky

*whiskey
And literally only black people drink Hennessy

...

Literally looks like a fancy piss jug

Scots decided to misspell it and the autists accepted it

Taste is what matters.
Whiskey looks cool but it tastes like piss
Rakija looks like piss but it tastes great.

>And literally only black people drink Hennessy
I'm white and I like it as do some of my white friends, must be an American thing that only black people drink it.

I'm not convinced. Also if you think that whiskey tastes like piss then you've only tried the cheap generic stuff.

no im black trust me its a black thing here too

Scotch is overrated.
I've tried both scotch and bourbon, and bourbon is way more softer, tastes better both neat and mixed. Altough I haven't had the expensive ones.

Maybe in the shitty council estate where you live.

maybe. i will make you a list of brands that i tried (you have a good point, i will never have a chance to try some good home made whiskey in serbia).
1. ballantines
2. johnny walker
3. jack danials
4. red label
and few others that i can't remember but they were cheap and we bought them only to get drunk with low amount of money...
>I'm not convinced.
you shouldn't be. i wouldn't either. i hope you will have a chance to try it

Got 4 bottles of single malt Scotch for Christmas. Been waiting for a special occasion to start drinking them, and they're still unopened because I literally have no special occasions in my life. All I want is a qt whisky-drinking gf, is that too much to ask?

except he's 100% correct

you're meant to add lukewarm water to whiskey

scottish whiskey used to be awful, still is imo, so irish distillers changed the spelling to differentiate them

Brands aren't the issue, every mainstream whiskey brand has their cheap stuff and expensive stuff.

Try Wild Turkey or Maker's Mark if you get the chance, Bulleit is really good too

I have a gf and she only drinks beer and cheap wine, she's such a pleb

And Irish whiskey is so much better

mad you didn't get the official wiki title bogniggers?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whisky

Actually yes. Seems we're the world's biggest whisky drinkers.

But it's less popular than wine here, where we also are the world leaders in consumption per capita (45 litres per year) out of small countries like Andorra or Luxembourg.

literally drank all night until 5am last night. Just woke up and made some eggs. I had like 80oz of beer before then 750ml straight of this lel. Shit was cray it my friend's 30th and we were on a party bus all day then hit the casinos. I don't gamble so I mostly just watched and went to the shows there and had great food.

Forgot pic related for my claim.

I never trust a woman who drinks beer. I've been a barman for the last 18 months, and it still makes me suspicious.

>Uruguay
What, since when?

you have to kind of force yourself to like scotch, a bit like olives. but once you like it you really like it.

I have an affair with a married woman and she does drink beer, pêh

I like scotch but it's way too expensive here. Even the shitty blends cost more than I'm willing to spend for a bottle of liquor. I mostly drink bourbon, and I rarely spend more than $15 on a bottle.
