Welp there is a big niche right now for a youtube replacement. Lots of content creators are getting demonetized for no real reason (maybe because they have a fanbase on Sup Forums?). Like I understand pewdiepie, but now they've demonetized reviewbrah and fantano. Amazon might be planning on swooping in, as twitch vs youtube is just a proxy war for the Google-Amazon cold war, but I don't know if that's a guarantee. Surely there is a niche for a hands-off "youtube" that is marketed as hip, cool, and edgy, rather than family-friendly and progressive? Obviously there's an issue with sponsors and ads, but why not make the platform now and get some small ad stuff going for now.
I'm not familiar with webdev, but I bet it wouldn't be to hard to have a website that plays videos, has channels/subscriptions, and has a search function for the videos. I mean, if there are like 2000 different porn sites, each with a different execution, I'm sure it can't be hard. Sup Forums could have it up in a week.
