ive got an old computer i got a couple of months ago in a bulk lot for really cheap using parts from other computers i got with it not a bad system at all for what i use it for
it has a core2duo e6550 in it but today my friend gave me a core2duo e4700 my computer can support this cpu but is it any better?
I get many conflicting reports. One says this is 45nm compatible, and a second one claims this is Q6700 [95 watt] compatible. If both are true E5450 is easy choice. If only the second is true get the Q6700, if only the first get the L5430

I wonder, what is the equivalent of Pajeet in Xinjiang?

>implying that stuff is multi-threaded a top c2d can handle even modern websites easily

Should support SLANQ stepping 100%.

Sell it for $50-70, whatever you get. Invest $20-40 more and buy a much better used computer from ebay/craigstlist/etc.

would i need to mod the cpu with tape tho like ive seen on youtube
rather just use the best cpu i can without needing to mod it

im from nz tho
yeah i could sell it but i would rather keep it and just get a cheap cpu for it as its just a spare computer i use to play some older games on from time to time

You can buy premodded CPUs for around 5$ more

can confirm my little c2d macbook still chugs along, and I don't even block JS on that machine.
Don't buy a quad. If you really need 4 or more cores get something newer. Most common tasks are still not multi-threaded, so get the fastest dual core.
