Stable in its current state is fine, because it recently had a new release, but that will quickly become outdated. If you look at my screenshot (the first one you replied to), you can see that I am using Debian Testing, which is more up to date. There is also Unstable, but that is prone to breakages

Sid has the newest packages which is why I use it. To be fair, I HAVE had it fuck up once, but only once. I wouldn't use it on a server or anything but on a regular desktop it's alright and if you're worried about stability, the Testing branch is a good middle ground.
