Not a problem on opensuse.

>install program on windows
>program installs a background service to check for updates because windows doesn't have a proper package management system

fixxx'd in windows 10 or before with choco:3

kpatch doesnt actually replace kernel functions, it just directs it to other crap.

Ganoo Linsucks doesn't have this problem

Name 1 (one) program that does this.

Firefox

java

no. win 10 has the same spftware manager as win 7. uwp apps don't count.

iTunes

That's why I install all of my software via the Windows Store user

Chrome
iTunes
Logitech Update Assistant
Pretty much all of them.

>windows needs to restart in order to finish update
>fuck, fine
>waiting
>theres still more to the update

>not having a windows update day once a year and celebrate by rape roleplaying with your gf
Excuse me????

What is gf?

A slave (male) that leeches life force from your body quite regularly.

>Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes.
This one's my favorite.

3d waifu.

There are gfs with 3 dicks? Do wonders never cease?

Actually shilling for chocolatey, it's by far the worst package manager I've used.

* IntelliJ
* Steam
* I'll also count the Blizzard manager & GoG galaxy
* any anti-virus I've ever used
* Chrome
* Firefox

>hurr all this other shit needs closed to in/uninstall this completely unrelated stuff
>durr you have to restart your computer to run the shit you just installed

You can not delete this. The file is still in use.

mine too because it not only wastes your time twice, but it doesn't even accomplish anything

The absolute best is when it automatically tries to install the exact same updates again after it puts everything back. I don't even have a machine that runs Windows and have had to deal with this thanks to normies.

I'd hot-patch that guy.
