But it's a bit tricky because whereas Germany has had its old 1848 pan-German flag, Japan has always used it's current one, even during WWII.
Americans tried to restict the use of Japanese flag and imperial anthem during occupation and they became official state symbols only in the 1990s.

Yeah, solution wasn't best word to use. Rather hope, inspiration, essentially a reason for people to keep going. It's also a matter who could get there first and who had the loudest voice. Nazi Germany was formed because Hitler re-instilled pride for the Germans; but of course it wasn't communism that he implemented. Worked for China because it was being taken advantage of by all directions. Mao made the people believe his vision, promise would fix everything. For Korea it was right after Japanese occupation, self-explanatory. And for Japan, it was right after loosing a major war and having lost a lot of it's national pride. It's just an observation I've made seeing that installing communism comes from giving very optimistic promises that look great on paper, thus works when people are low in moral and looking for hope.

Komeido is possibly okay with an "Emergency" clause. Osaka might be, but seems to be leaning against it.
