Does New Zealand have the best Colonialist/Native Population relationship today? Everything I've seen seems to indicate Maori and Kiwi culture are pretty in with eachother, and that the Maori are respected/honored and the NZers are considered a part of the "native" population by the Maori.
Looking at other countires:

There's a general feeling of respect for the culture and their way of life. It also helps that integration was done over a prolonged period of time, not in an instant.
The problem with multiculturalists of today is that they believe integration occurs in days, months or even a few years. You need to have an integrated bunch who can show any other new ones , "hey, you can't fucking act like an idiot. "
If Sweden, for example, had a small, but well integrated Muslim community for years, they could provide and pave the way for newly arrived Muslims. I've seen mainland Chinese come here and get literally bullied into integration by 2nd gen. Chinese Americans. You need a quasi integration force to keep newcomers in check.
Muslims also don't properly force integration either unless they're 2nd or 3rd generation and barely religious
