You're right about a 500GB SSD though, it's probably cheaper than a combination of the two. Only problem is most gaymur laptops I can find in the nethercommielands start at 250GB joke SSD's.

Wat vind jij de beste optie dan, kwa prijs-performance? Ik hoef geen ultra, medium-laag 60FPS 1080p is meer dan goed genoeg. Maar ik wil ook een laptop die ik voor andere dingen kan gebruiken.
Ik zou m'n MacBook Air ervoor verkopen (in 2015 voor 500 euro gekocht, resale value 550 lol), maar ben bang dat een hedendaagse windows toch slechtere trackpad en keyboard heeft.
Suggesties?
I meant usability as in the trackpad not being shit.

Seriously. The new MBPs have three things going for it:
1. OS
2. trackpad
3. screen
The rest of the world has caught up their internals years ago and surpassed it at a cheaper price point. Other brands have surpassed them in terms of aesthetics (XPS and others).
You might say "well, those three things Apple does well are great". Yes, until you need to do actual work on it. If you use PS on it for 5 minutes be prepared to hear it whine and throttle.

Vergeet het idee van een game laptop. Het is het niet waard. Ze gaan stuk en je doe minder dan een uur op je accu. Ze wegen een halve ton en voor de adapter moet je een extra rugtas aanschaffen.
Zonder GPU zijn laptops veel fijner in dagelijks gebruik. Tenzij je CAD-tekenaar ben. Dan moet je gewoon iedere 1-2 jaar een nieuwe.

Een 940mx scoort iets van een kwart van een 1050 qua performance. Die kaart stelt dus geen reed voor. Dan heb je ook geen grote accu en heat sinks nodig.
