How often do you clean your PC(s), and what do you use?

I have two that I clean once a month, but I clean the dust filters every week.

When temperatures start reaching 99°C

Thats overkill. I only clean mine maybe 4-5 times a year.

I got a small air compressor, works out a lot cheaper than using cans in the long run. It's also obviously more effective and efficient.
Clean out my PC every few months, only takes a few mins. Just take my PC outside and blow the dust into the wind.

I fill my bathtube with alcohol and then wash the parts there. Then filter and decant the alcohol and store it again for further uses.

i used to clean every couple months at my old apartment since it was dusty as fuck. I moved to a new building now and there's barely any dust I only cleaned it twice in the past year and both times it was barely dusty inside.

>scrub something
>spark lights up and sets yourself and the whole house in fire

Good job.

fag.

Fag. nice bait, fag.
Way to get baited, moron.

>evrythin i dun like or am to brainlet to undertand is bait xD

Go back.

when it smells burnt and smoke comes out.

I just hold an illegally powerful vacuum to the exhausts.

I clean my laptop when it starts to get too hot. Maybe every other year?

i redo the thermal paste maybe every half year. My case has a ton of dust filters so the inside doesn't get too dusty .

Basically never because I keep the box in a cupboard, but I still do it during my spring clean.

>illegally powerfull

Elaborate.

a vacuum so powerful its illegal

Holy shit

Poor frogy

How powerful are we talking about? Where would I buy one?

About every 3-4 years I guess. Im a heavy smoker and the dust combined with the smoke gets really sticky, so cleaning the whole thing takes fucking HOURS. I can't just blow the dirt away, I have to scrape hat shit off.

>mfw

Stop smoking.

>inhaling the burning jew

kys

No

In the past (2000s-2015) I'd take my PC outside and blow the dust out a few times a year and totally rebuild it including new paste on CPU once a year.

I got a modern case with cable routing and dust filters in 2015 and now I only blow it out a couple times a year and I've never done a rebuild.

Yep, he's a faggot.

he is

>further uses
He means he drinks it

Well, it's isopropanol so not something I want to drink.

Canned air
I keep a fan right by the case blowing away to help carry the loose dust out and not just settling back in the case

Why do you drink that shit?

I don't

>How often do you clean your PC(s)
About as often as you post good threads.

>How often do you clean your PC(s)
Sometimes.

> and what do you use
Well, I usually wash the dust catchers on the ventilation ports - but if it's inside, I just suck the dust with a vacuum cleaner.

I typically clean my computer 1-2 times a month. I have an electric duster and just blow it's internals, heatsinks, fans, clean. Only takes a few minutes.

Never clean it. It's a fully sealed case where all air has to pass through micro filters first.

>not using a foot pump
What are you? Rich?

every 6 months I take my PC outside to my backyard and blow out all the dust with a leaf blower. then I get some rubbing alcohol and paper towels to wipe off the heatsink and case, done.

Camera blower, airblower, hand vacuum cleaner, brush.

often enough

When I first got it every 2 weeks like a faggot. Now I just do it once every couple of months and that's just wiping the filters clean and maybe giving it a spray with air if it looks dirty inside.

Yeah it works out cheaper after about 25 years if the thing lasts that long.

Washing dust filters once a month. The inside of the case doesn't need cleaning because of them. Applying new thermal paste every six months.

I cleaned my fans about once a month when i was a smoker, since I quit its about every six months

Every 15 days i give my PC a superficial clean with pic related, and every month i take it all apart and clean every component takes like an hour or so.

>inb4 your PC breaks after pluging and unpluging hardware monthly

Youve never heard of porn have you?

Not him but, compressors have multple uses, cans don't.

Oh so you have to use it for something else for it to work out cheaper... Not everyone needs one for anything else, canned air is a lot cheaper.

I swap parts in and out fairly often, so I just give it a wipe and a blast with compressed air during those changes. I swapped my motherboard out just a few days ago, so it's sparkling clean right now.

£17 for a cheapo compressor, 150psi.

200ml in a can, £5.71

so for the price of the compressor you can buy 3 cans.
what a fucking bargain.

EU laws.

3 builds had passed this method sooo, no, never had a problem with it, i tend to clean my pc every 6 months but i had to move to another country and man dust here is fucking everywhere.

I don't get the point, not entirely...

Every year.
I clean my PC in kitchen sink with Fairy™

>decant

chembro

good then

You are wasting an obscene amount of time that could be used for masturbation. Unless yyou live in the middle of a desert you really dont need to clean your pc that often or that thoroughly.

Nice for you to try and pick the cheapest possible air compressor possible which OP clearly did not if you look at the picture he posted and then pick the most expensive air you can find.

>Brother's workplace has compressed air.
>Lug computers down there, open and blast them clean.
>feel efficient, on the ball, and snappy
>go home
>main workstation no longer boots
>no longer know what to feel

I have a case with positive air flow, so i only have to clean the dust screens every few months

Yeah because the compressed air has liquid in it that's why. You shouldn't spray it on the PCB of anything.

I see. Live and learn. I don't remember how it was revived, but that's good to know.

In both cases I picked the first I found.
And the cheapest compressor would still be better than any canned air dipshit.

Except it wouldn't and if you don't know why it's a bad idea to use an electronic air compressor then I think you should go back to Sup Forums.

get over yourself faggot.

Your cheap ass is wrong wrong wrong.

Yes really wrong, you can spend £15 on 6 cans of air that will last you a few years even with intense use or you can spend £100 + for an air compressor and go along with the risk of static discharging your machine, I recommend a paint brush for you since as you clearly are not even capable of using canned air safely.

Can you put air into your tires with a can? You can't. Can you fill a basketball with a can? You can't. Can you attach air tools to a can? You can't. So fuck off you retard. Not to mention killing your PC with a can is easy.

No you can't and I never claimed you could but to do those things your gonna have to spend a lot more than what you would on cans so cans are cheaper.

You can get a good compressor for $150 at Home Depot, or a chink one for $99 at Harbor Freight. That is a damn good deal for something that has a lot of uses.
Sure, cans are cheaper in the short term but not in the long term and has limited uses.

What the hell?
Cans cost like €5 - 10 a piece here, and I can easily empty one can per computer.

Never heard of anyone using the same 6 cans for years?
Are you lying on the internet?

That's assuming that it lasts forever which at $99 it won't so again you end up replacing the air compressor and you are even further behind than if you just used cans.

Look here

A can lasts me a good 6 months if all I am doing is cleaning my computer every month or so and cleaning the keyboard out every now and then what are you doing with yours trying to get high off it?

I know but i like to keep my PC as clean as possible, i am building my house already and i am planning to build an isolated room no windows, only a door to keep out as much dust as possible with a decent AC.

>6 cleans out of 1 can

Now we know you're full of shit.
Fucking britbongs. Bet you voted remain, too.

A 400ml can can easily give you 6 cleans what are you doing with yours? 10 second sprays 5 times? And now I most certainly voted Leave I'll have you know.

Every other month with can air
