OK Sup Forumsuys can we get a thread with some obscure/unusual extensions? Everyone is always posting the same extensions which doesn't really add any value.
Post if you have anything besides the mandatory/usual ones: >uBlock Origin, Adblock, Adblock Plus >uMatrix, NoScript >Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger >HTTPS-Everywhere >Decentraleyes >Cokie AutoDelete, Self-Destructing Cookies >CanvasBlocker >Greasemonkey, Violentmonkey >Stylish >DownThemAll
I use "Links Like This" which opens similar links in new tabs. It's good for forum threads or Sup Forums threads and similar with lots of images and stuff linked. addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/links-like-this/ Sadly it will be unusable after 57…
Aaand I'm never upgrading to FF 57. Managed to scope out chrome replacements for everything important except nicofox, but youtube-dl should work well enough.

Vertical Tabs Reloaded Its just simple vertical tabs without all the tree style bloat

Tabs being on the side allows me to keep a lot more tabs in check when im doing loads of crap I dont always agree with the groupification of tree style tabs and find it getting in the way more than actually helping

nice rephrasing moron, no that is not what is said. the tails extension only is for tails ISOs. 7zip hashes any file.

>avast! DIE VIRENDATENBANK WURDE AKTUALISIERT
Adrian Rogers
>avast is shit I agree just turn off the sound. at least they don't false positive every file like avira, or upload your data to the russian FSB like kaspersky. any anti-vir overall is snakeoil and shit, I just use it as fallback when brain-AV fails.
Moves tabs below bookmarks and fixes colours, sizes of tabs, search bar size, etc pp.
For later firefox versions FF57, 58++
Lincoln Ward
Tbqh you really don't need an antivirus, all they do is stop ancient shit from the 90s. It's been trivial to bypass antivirus for the last decade, that's why they started false positiving everything.
It's just a protection racket now.
>or upload your data to the russian FSB like kaspersky Yeah they do, every AV does. Same thing with VirusTotal. Every AV maker has partnerships to share samples with each other.
Ask the plebs on skidforums, they would know.
Justin Perry
I am (almost) ready for the revolution
uBlock has nice filterlists for known malware servers
>Yeah they do, every AV does. the md5/sha1/sha256 for sure, a full file I dunno. I often report false positives. then it even warns you the file will be shared. so that is sort of okay if I feel that I have some manual control. but you are right, one can never know fully.
PS: I only use filesystem protection by avast, every other module they try to install is cancer-tier junkware.
Wyatt Adams
really will miss this extension when it stops working
Jackson Scott
I used to have some crappy obscure extensions in FF 3.6-20 that i can't even remind the name, one i always used was DownloaderHelper, pretty handy.
Elijah Price
Is there an extension that regularly imports my Chromium data (pw, bookmarks, etc) to Firefox ? I use Chromium on my desktop and FF on my phone, is there any way I can get my browsing data sync'd ?
p-pls help
Ian Peterson
decide to only use chromium or only use FF
i use FF mobile/desktop because ublock works without any hassle on both
Tyler Young
Are you using Mozilla FF or another version ?
Adrian Bailey

Autoscroll because linux doesn't have it
Jacob Campbell
Just the vanilla one, Mozilla official
if you don't care about design changes and just want an adblocked web with a decent bookmark manager just stick to the default flavour
Waterfox runs an outdates FF fork, 6 CVE unfixed. Vanilla will always be best
Michael Hernandez
You can always go to about:downloads Put it in your bookmarks, middle click for new tab, done
Ian Edwards
with no support for multiple tab select because the faggot retard claimed it caused crashes
Jeremiah Jackson
Thanks for the suggestion, opens in a tab though with all menu bars, consuming too much screen size. I enjoy the small window for allowing it to run in background when the main UI is closed.

That would have been nice yes I'm fine with it as is though, I just want him to port it to FF57, or I will have to stick to ESR till god knows when and I kinda like the other new features
U wot m8?

fileverifier++ has served me well
Grayson Edwards
How many addons work with that yet? Mozilla doesn't have full API support yet for all webextensions.
I'm interested in using this.
Michael Smith
Thanks for sharing.
Blake Reyes
Like the simplicity of this. Anything like it which works with 57?
Matthew Garcia
My nigga. Tabs on bottom master race. (Also no CTR)
Owen Sanders
I use tree style tabs in FF58, it's really just the same but if you open a tab from Sup Forums, it gets indented a little in the list, and you can collapse all Sup Forums tabs.
That's about it.
Joseph Morgan
This thing (was) the shit. If you have a widescreen display, you could put 4-8 live tabs into a single browser window. Brilliant for monitoring build/test systems, etc.
Unfortunately, very XUL-dependent, and there will never be a WebExtension API with all the features it needs. The dev wrote a WE version that is basically a tiling window manager which is sadly pretty much shit.
Elijah Carter
The WebExtensions version still looks pretty nice desu. Thanks for the tip.
Cooper Gutierrez
No problem
Looking good, as it was always supposed to remain

I've been considering looking into javascript and CSS, but every time I so much as look at JS code I immediately regret even that. Why can't firefox have a proper extension language like Emacs, which has at the very least the quality of being entertaining to write.
Dylan Anderson
"virendatenbank"? fucking lol germany
Mason Foster
Yeah, German loves compound words. You have a database for viruses? Gee, that makes it a virusdatabase! Which, naturally, receives virusdatabaseupdates, which you know from a virusdatabaseupdatemessage, which you have noticed because your computer played a virusdatabaseupdatemessagenotificationsound!
Lucas Ward
>that minimalistic fox favicon that I've seen before but forgot which site. I go to gitlab, friend. My reason to censor is that people talk about my post, not my bookmarks. But I cannot stop the smartest ones of all of them all.
Leo Jones
>but every time I so much as look at JS code I immediately regret even that
Code in CoffeeScript, then convert that to JS with a single click. It is waaay more sane than old JS.
Classic Theme Restorer Bamboo Feed Reader Session Manager Always Open Menu StumbleUpon Video DownloadHelper FlashGot Tab Groups Tab Scope Adblock Plus
I uninstalled all except adblcok plus, session manager and bamboo feed reader to get ready for ff57. i still don't know if i can find a replacement for session manager. for the other 2 i have alternatives.

I used to be able to type a word in it, and it'd automatically google search it. I've no idea why they removed such an essential feature.

Norwell History Tools Firefox's built in history browser is total garbage. Also set history limit in about:config so it doesn't silently delete your history.

I'm using FF. I used to be able to just type it in and hit enter, but this shitty extension is the only thing that I found which come close to that behaviour. I don't want to have to hit 'search with google'.
Without the extension, it'll just take me to why cant i search

Set places.history.expiration.max_pages to high value. If you're extra worried FF will fuck it up you could set up script to mirror sql-lite file.

Does this also solve retard pages that force you to download images instead of viewing in Firefox when you click "View image"?
>laugh, but i share links with my phone with two buttons With iOS/macOS you can have shared clipboard, so you can just copy on one device and then paste on another. Pretty great senpai.
