God damn it.
I heard defragmentation yields better results when HDD is is weightless state because bytes can be rearranged freely.
>Doing anything vital to your hardware doing a thunderstorm
You literally broke the nÂș1 unwritten rule about Electronics.
OP clearly likes to live on the edge
dude, today we had a storm and i was afraid of keeping an HDD on that was under UPS, you asked for it
Don't newer mobos have a fail-safe feature that makes it impossible to brick now?
pretty sure the #1 rule is dont poor water on them while they're on
BUT HEY WHAT DO I KNOW
>not having a UPS
Not if you're running systemd
Nigger that's a written rule.
You don't fuck with thunderstorms that's the unwritten rule.
It's harder to brick but if both your bios chips are fucked or if you're too retarded to download the bios of the second chip. and dd'ing it to the first one you're always fucked.
thunderstorms are pussy
If thats written then im pretty sure the #1 unwriten rule is dont rub components on your carpet
not sure if you're up to this OP desu but posting anyways

Kill yourself, dumb frogposter.

Unplug it for 30 minutes
>updating BIOS at all
You literally destroyed your computer for no reason. There is never a valid reason to update your BIOS unless its being done by a mechanically gifted bunch of repair bros with back up comps and tools with them
t. retard
just change the chip or rewrite it (u probably need a usb bios plug)
plenty of v1.0 motherboards come with a buggy bios so updating down the line is highly recommended.
>dual bios my ass
So you flipped the switch in the mobo for backup bios and still didn't post? Unlikely, maybe you just a brainlelt
Probably never updated his 2nd and it's too old to work with his CPU. Or something equally retarded, like having bricked one the last tstorm and tried again without fixing it.
>running updates without a UPS
You know you have to manually force the BIOS to reflash from the backup right?
Usually you have to hold some button on the I/O panel or mobo.
Fuck BIOS updates. If it works out of the box leave it alone, exception being Coreboot or no-whitelist notebook BIOS.
Never had a problem with dual BIOS boards.
Also, why wasn't your UPS connected?
