double no!

Shit is like NAS and router. I wanna know how to use this beast. Bump.

the design isn't secure because the nics aren't actually separated memory wise from another, iirc. lots of people had concerns about the design as well as performance.

buy an apu2, arm is still far away from being usable.

>buy an apu2, arm is still far away from being usable.
>AMD Embedded G series GX-412TC
Those use amd cpus though with psp/trustzone.

>secure
It's a router, not an air gap.

no they don't. that is the last series before psp got introduced, check your facts kid

so you don't want a secure router? just buy dlink or tplink, should be good enough for you

Yea looks interesting, but there aren't really any videos where people test how it performs. This seems like it might be better than the bpi r1, but it seems like it's not as popular.

>that is the last series before psp got introduced
oh, so it has the trust zone bullshit

I trust banana pi stuff, and it seems well build. So I bet it just werks at worst. I'm gonna buy it when I got some cash.

Fucking dumbass.

GX-412TC does not have an arm core iirc, therefor also no trust zone. bananapi on the other hand has trust zone. what's your fucking point kid, what are you even arguing for or against?

How do I get my sierra wireless MC7430 working on this with openWRT?

aight you are correct, i guess i confused it with the apu which runs with the AMD G series T40E

amd.com/Documents/49282_G-Series_platform_brief.pdf

is the WAN and Lans seperated or is it just a internal hub?

are the USB/NIC bandwidth shared on the same chip?

what about the GPU? please dont say its MALI

>GX-412tc listed as having PSP
Show me where the banana pi has A PSP/trustzone, because I can't find any documentation that claims this.
>what are you even arguing for or against?
I'm against PSP/Trustzone you dense retarded fuck

Mini PCIE interface
SATA interface
4x Gigabit LAN 1x Gigabit WAN

I'll post more info when I find it.

Way more info here

Are there any first hand owners here?

any arm has trust zone.

Just buy an actual router with OpenWRT / LEDE support

Can you recc a good one that's also portable/battery powered, because I am in the market.

>MALI
qualcomm/vivanti/broadcom are only freedreno capable

enjoy your binary GPU which will never get a mainlined kernel

Get a USB power bank,
and a router that's either USB-powered, or a boost-converter like this one

i rigged a ghetto UPS for my security camera that way (12 volts). Dirt cheap, does the job.

...

It's about $200 on ebay!
I wish there was a comparable ITX board (4/5 GbE and a couple of SATA).

thanks for this image with no context user!

It's a boost converter than can be used to power 12 V devices like some routers from a USB power bank.

No Intel NICs, no router.

will it support the next version of pfsense?

thats kind of a deal breaker

Context is LITERALLY in the post above it. Is your fat head to heavy?

That's going to have some fuck-ugly ripple. Mini-box sells DIY UPS controllers and decent quality buck/boost converters.

APC has a small load UPS with a lithium battery that you can get for like $20~30 on sale sometimes too.

Just buy mikrotik rb2011

>Mini-box sells DIY UPS controllers
Pretty cool. Will consider for future projects.

it supports openwrt forum.banana-pi.org/t/bpi-r2-new-image-openwrt-lede-2017-09-08/3797/42

1. Go to forum.armbian.com
2. Read what Armbian developers think about banana pi (especially tkaiser).
3. ?????
4. Don't ever dare to think about buying they shit.

here is a thread about r2 on armbian forum

BananaPi is notorious for providing zero support.

OrangePi is the only reputable hobbyist SBC vendor in China.

>BananaPi is notorious for providing zero support.
Also lying about specs and lying about being open source hardware and never releasing schematics (or taking ages to release). No schematics - community can't make drivers. And those autistic chinks can't build any decent drivers themselves.

>my firewall's hardware needs to be made in America
