COLORS

What in the FUCK is the best colorset for programming? I wanna die because my eyes hurt so much when I try all the different colors. pic related is SerialExperimentsLain, one of the only bareable ones I've found, but even it is hard to look at times

He fell for the dark theme meme

I think it's because that color scheme has too much contrast, have you tried gruvbox yet?

>my eyes hurt so much when I try all the different colors
>bareable

Go back to fucking grade school, you illiterate fuck.

Solarized dark. Once tried, never needed another

You might try Solarized light, if dark ain't your pajamas

jellybeans if you want gruvbox without it looking like you smeared brown grease over the screen

>dark theme
Hilarious

I don't understand the desire for ultra-low contrast.

Personally I'm very happy with Monokai.

>pic related is SerialExperimentsLain
It's actually called monokai.

I use Wombat, which is dark but not completely black.

>he didn't write his own custom Vim colorscheme
Seriously what board am I on

I swear half the uptake of Sublime Text is due to the default color scheme.

I just use mo[no]okai in vim; feelsgoodman.

Shit, I mena mo[nl]okai.

>I swear half the uptake of Sublime Text is due to the default color scheme.

You think this is why people pick Sublime over Vim? Or do you mean over their default OS text editor.

probably fullscreen DOS/terminal with some subtle (low saturation) syntax highlighting

>he fell for the color scheme meme

with scanlines

Black and White

Just use black and white, all the cool kids do

FUCK YEAR DEBUG

Watcha doin there? Used to use DEBUG to poke BIOS calls and shit; good times.

Just use Solarized light. It's not my favourite aesthetically, but it's very easy on the eyes

Monokai Dark has a shit brown background, I cant believe people use the default color scheme in Sublime, its like staring at a turd

used to hate on dark themes,

after 5 hours of debugging on a light theme, my eyes were in pain.

Dark themes are the shit once you get used to them

Make your own then OP

it's just logical. why would anyone want to stare at a light screen for hours while coding? it's much worse for the eyes.

The code I read all day is a turd too; I dig the ambiance.

Memes aside, the first thing I think of when I see that shade is chocolate.

>it's just logical
So is turning down the brightness on your display.

thats just stupid, I cant believe people actually do that, staring at a dim screen causes huge eye strain

PHP a shit.

On that note, I think I might go and pick it up again.

>staring at a dim screen causes huge eye strain
Only if your using a dark as your soul color scheme.

Visual studio's default dark theme

>pink
into the trash it goes!

...

Desert on vim works for me

terminal (dot) sexy/

Obsidian is perfect, the background color has depth, like youre not looking at a solid surface but into something
