How close is this to the finished product? The hands seem lackluster, and the dial is just so empty. Also, know the dimensions?

>know the dimensions?
Here. The second hand looks pretty neat to be honest. That and it's not like that's a detailed macro shot so I'm not going to judge it too hard for it.

...

It always amazes me how shit this watch looks up close. Each marker looks different and like they were made by hand with play-doh. The hands look like they were spray painted at some arbitrary location by holding a business card on top as a mask. The fact that the date window has zero finishing to it.

how many times have you seen one in person?

Man what an ugly shitter. A diesel looks refined by comparison.

Do you smoke crack? Who the fuck is this guy?

Zero. The camera can see in more detail, but I doubt that would change the fact that the finishing is flawed.

Who the fuck are you, some kind of brand whore? Use your eyes and look at the fucking picture.

fox and grapes

I like the seconds hand, but the colors on the left one seem off, and they are entirely dissimilar to the way the hands on the right one are colored.

Thanks for the image. It is a shame about the dimensions. Not because of the size, but because the watch is that size combined with how empty the dial is. However, that image seems to indicate some other markings on the dial that are not present in the previous image. Those might improve things.

>t. brainlet who has never seen one before
Congratz it a shit pic with heavy post processing. They dont actually have any of those problems retard. You think rolex would have shit QC?

is this bait? wtf? The only problem with the pelagos is that it has a paragraph of information on the dial.

>mfw he's absolutely right
>irregular lume application
>indices rounded unlike the sharp hands
>hands poorly masked when painted
>date window has no additional finishing

...

So what I would love to see is a legit quartz/mechanical chronograph hybrid. Something that basically resembles the X-33 Skywalker in form but encompasses both to add functionality and quality. Bonus if the two could be synced at the same time.

I kind of feel like a more powerful version of the Grand Seiko spring drive might offer that but I dunno. Would likely need some way to create a super high capacity capacitor that can be charged off the auto movement and power an LCD and logic too. I assume the backlight would have to go to be close to a realistic possibility tho.

I support everyone's decision to not purchase and even hate the Pelagos.

I, however, love mine. In fact I've had two. I enjoy it more than the submariner I sold off long ago.

Is it just the angle or does the LHD have a taller crown?

It's just the angle.

>TFW this horribly finished Holex is a half a million dollar watch

Your LHD looks great, which came first and why did you match the colours of them?

why two? and why does it look like you shave your arms?

>vintage Rolex sell for tens of thousands or more merely because of brand
>when vintage quality is comparable to Soviet shitter Cornavin

jesus christ i thought tjay was a fake until i googled it..... Cant wait for the Paul Jewman to be bought back by rolex for 10million+++

I had the plain pelagos first. I liked the LHD more so I got it and have since sold my regular pelagos.
I sharpen knives as a hobby/side business, my arm hair suffers as a result

see above.
I got the regular pelagos long before the lhd. Have since sold the regular. As far as color matching, the lhd only comes in black and I had never intended to keep both.

What's the best midsized QUARTZ dive watch for $200 or less? Nothing too big 41mm or less. I just want a no nonsense beater that can take a dip.

not feeling this one

it looks a bit too sterile. the bezel or the dial needs an additional pop.

the poleaxe seconds hand is really cool though

Seiko makes a bunch, including one that is also a perpetual calendar. I've been a touch liberal with the size you stated, since the SKX-style case wears quite small. Those are all that I remember, since the MDV106 is a bit larger.

What the fuck were they thinking...

victorinox mid-size dive master

Does anyone have any good sources for information on how to mod seikos? I'd be willing to do it on a vostok too if it's possible to mod the hands on them

jewtube

Are victornix shitters?

forget the Vic.
Seiko SBDN013

This worth 90 bucks?

no. Its in bad condition and is cheap anyways.

nah, these watches go for about 20-30 $+ shipping.

>I don't know if I should get a dress watch or a diver, also I'd like it to have the Mazerati logo
>I gotcha covered fann

No fucking way that's a real Rolex. It looks like it fell out of the Hong Kong assembly spare parts tree and hit every branch on the way down.

its a real perpetual. Its going to go for around .5-1.5million dollars at auction along with the Paul Jewman auction.

jk its not a perpetual. im retarded.

I liked the pelagos until I realized how fuckhuge it was and how high it stood off the wrist. If anything, it's made me like the submariner despite how much I hate rolex.

Nice Poljot and Luches, where did you cop them?

Digital Watch.

Hey guys any nice watches with alternative time telling styles like pic related? I have dyscalculia(numerical dyslexia) and I can't really read analogs at a glance, not big on digital watches either.

Christopher Ward do a 38mm version of the Trident 300.

...

Ooft, that's nice. I'm gonna go ahead and assume it's way out of my fucking price range though.

I don't get how they can copy even the wave pattern and not get sued.

Recommend me a high accuracy quartz watch under €200

because it looks ugly af on the Chrward or whatever

Seiko dolce is the cheapest high accurace quartz, you cant get it under 200 €.

What you are probpably looking is a basic quartz watch from citizen or seiko etc, they are pretty accurate compared to "shit" quartz watches.

gshock gps

casio radiowave

buy a watch or buy an escort and get laid

I have a 300 wave pattern and I think it looks ugly even on the original (I liked it when I bought it) I really regret not getting the plain blue.

>a new challenger has appeared
buy a watch that gets you laid

A few years ago these cheap Jump Hour watches were everywhere now I can't find them.

Anyone knows where to get affordable Jump Hour watches now? I don't care if its Chinese or Japanese.

this looks close to what i was asking about here

So I get the criticism against the Tangente: boring case and fugly lugs. What about the Orion, though? I want a dress watch with a pretty movement and no date.

Last time I buy a Rolex for 800€ what the fuck

...

For some reason, youngsters with small wrist love to buy these watches with long lugs.
It'll look ridiculous if you have small wrist.

cheatin geneve

I want to get the Bauhaus/Nomos look on the cheap

Is Rodina still the best choice? What should I get?

fucking lmao

My search for an affordable purple-dial watch continues. Are Invictas S1 any good? Why have a MSRP that's utter bullshit everybody ignores? Does the pattern on the dial not look like shit irl?

Seiko just came out with a purple monster. Might want to grab one before they're discontinued.

>makes cool watch
JUST KIDDING FUCK YOU

Can anyone recommend me a good Seiko diver's watch with crystal lens and good build quality? Preferably something with brushed bezel and leather or fabric bracelet.

>It always amazes me how shit this watch looks up close.

>how many times have you seen one in person?

>Zero.
Like pottery

Christopher Ward do a purple dial on a couple of watches.

Thanks, a gay bar in Moscow called Bad Ivan.

The Pelagos is a true tool watch diver, and one of the absolute best true tool watch divers on the market, so I find the sizing understandable on it.

Wait for them to put the DUW 3001 in the Zurich. It's a better design than the Orion.

I'd get a homos if it weren't for the fucking lugs.

The Zurich has short lugs, at least compared to the rest of the line besides the Metro.

Yeah, but they still managed to make them nice and ugly.

I prefer the stick hands and I'd like to have blued hands on something. The lugs are nicer on the Zurich, though.
I have a Chr. Ward C60 Pro 43mm and there's no lug overhang, so I should be fine, right?

I just bought this for a steal off ebay. Too bad it wont arrive until after Halloween.

the strap on mine immediately cracked on the wrist side

nice daniel wellington homage

can you replace the straps on Swatches?

Need a somewhat budget 200-400 aud dress watch. I like the look of Tissot and such, cleaner sleaker look, leather strap mostly.
Suggestions would be mint.

You can, but the ghost strap for the Geisterstunde is unobtainium

/thread

Do you mind quartz? If not the Seiko Dolce SACM171 is the answer.

I thought the strap was kind of ugly. Maybe I'll swap it out, keep it pristine incase I resell it later.

I'll give you some haribo and Kinder surprise for it

I don't negotiate with tripfags.

So... when are we going to have a Mudmaster for small wrists?

>having bitchwrists.

Can you read something with baton indices or Roman numerals? I don't see what numbers have to do with to when the direction that hands point is is pretty standard.

Huh, that is a pretty cool Swatch.

how do you negotiate with an anonymous mass?

I dig that actually, not bad at all. Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately, I believe the Seiko Dolce is the only sub-38mm watch with dress watch aesthetics and good build quality you are going to be able to buy new for under $400 AUD.

we call each other faggots until the thread get pruned
