Expect that 16GB to be $300-350 in Q1 2018

That's where you're wrong kiddo

you ordered before 23rd of October, the prices rose again.

t. mad poorcuck who didn't fell for 16GiB meme years ago when it was piss cheap

ITT: poorfags crying over a couple dollars more or less.

>couple dollars
The same kit I bought last summer no costs 2.15 times more.

Why is the price of RAM going up?

>Why is the price of RAM going up?
Market demand. Why else would it go up?

phones are takign all the memory, and the RAM fabs are price fixing bastards that lowered production to increase prices (the fines for price fixing are way lower then the profit, so they don't care about future legal action)

If they were overcharging then another company would form up and sell at a reasonable price and take all the market share.

Nice try, gook shill.

>“At the same time, changes have occurred in the relationship among the top three suppliers – Micron, SK Hynix and Samsung,” Wu added. “Based on the oligopolistic market situation, the trio have opted for co-existence as the best way to maximize their own profitability. They therefore are turning away from aggressively competing for market share through price reduction and capacity expansion.”
>“In a sense, there a strategic aspect behind the latest wave of DRAM price increase,” said Wu. “In the short term, rising prices lift up margins for suppliers. In the long run, the barrier to keep Chinese competition out of the DRAM market is reinforced.”

>it is like medieval guild all over again

Thank you based capitalism

>In the long run, the barrier to keep Chinese competition out of the DRAM market is reinforced
why is this true and not the opposite?

how is this possible?
>buy $100 PC
>remove the $200 ram

Patents aren't capitalistic

Trump needs to bring DRAM manufacturing to America. fuck these south koreans gooks

>fuck these south koreans gooks
These are cheaper than your usual redneck.
Why would you trade gooks for rednecks?
And I doubt your average redneck is smart enough to operate 193i scanner.

Thanks for the quality answers.

because america will pump it out and not create artificial supply shortages.

>hurr american rednecks.

need I remind you who invented the micro transistor

it's not so much labor costs that makes it nonviable to make most electronics in America. High-skilled South Koreans aren't dissimilar from high-skilled Americans in what you have to pay to get them. The difference is the fact that a.) in Asia you're close to lots of your suppliers and customers, which makes coordinating with them easier and cuts your transportation costs, and b.) you have less of a fight to do things. Less NIMBYs, less local government, etc.

>less local government
>Korea

HAHAHA
Sure, if by less you mean the locsl government just wheelbarrows money in through the front doors. And people think America is corrupt. How do you think cheobols became a thing in the first place?

Well yeah, if you can just pay off some people in the local government and they say "Congratulations, here's your planning approval" that makes things pretty easy, no? It might be corrupt but it beats years of public hearings and environmental lawsuits like you'd get in America.

t.libertardian

>t. another manufacturing defect at the factory
its bs and you know it

>breaks the law
>blames the system
go back to the ukraine

>It might be corrupt but it beats years of public hearings and environmental lawsuits like you'd get in America.
corruption is in no way better then obstruction which is already bad
