The absolute state of Windows
Move folder by accident
GET CHUMPED.LOL
Are you implying Linux is better? :D
As opposed to Linux where copy/paste isn't even guaranteed to work.
You literally just hit Ctrl+Z before you do anything else. It's not that hard. You literally just spent 5 minutes of your time making a thread that makes you look like an inept retard.
The typical normie. Blame the computer for doing something wrong instead of blaming themselves.
What the fuck is windows supposed to do? Give you a popup everytime you hit ctrl+z? That would waste the time of millions of people who aren't fucking stupid as shit.
>Being this fucking retarded.
Also, how can you know you moved a folder by accident without knowing what folder you moved and where it was?
Just end yourself, retard. Or better yet, install a Linux distro. That way normal people can actually laugh at you befor you kys.
The problem is that sometimes you don't know if you accidentally moved a folder somewhere else or not... So if you hit ctrl-z, you might actually end up doing something unintended.
>>doesn't tell you which folder you've moved
>>doesn't tell you where you moved it to
And what the fuck was it SUPPOSED to do? Flash with giant red letters "operation complete"? Ask a confirmation? I suggest you to stop randomly mashing buttons like a fucking ape.
It's supposed to keep track of what actually happened if anything and make that information easily accessible to the user.
Accidental drag&drop
>It's supposed to keep track of what actually happened
And it does, otherwise you wouldn't be able to undo stuff at all.
>make that information easily accessible to the user
It refreshed the content. What the fuck ELSE do you need?
>And it does, otherwise you wouldn't be able to undo stuff at all.
Well is there a dialog where I can see those? Or what?
>It refreshed the content. What the fuck ELSE do you need?
I need a system where the stability of the system does not depend on guesswork. Also would be nice if drag & drop required an extra key so it wouldn't be that easy to accidentally do it.
and this is why double clicking to open things is retarded
>o-oh no I can't organize a folder without spilling everything everywhere
Fucking windorks, man
>Well is there a dialog where I can see those? Or what?
Where would you show it if it existed?
>I need a system where the stability of the system does not depend on guesswork.
Nothing was deleted. Nothing crashed. It's stable.
>Also would be nice if drag & drop required an extra key so it wouldn't be that easy to accidentally do it.
And defeat the whole purpose of it. Are you legit retarded?
This
>calling others retarded and in the same post claim moving random folders around doesn't impact system stability
>calling others retarded and in the same post claim moving random folders around doesn't impact system stability
It doesn't. It WON'T let you move folders that could impact system's stability.
file management through GNU+Bash doesn't have this problem
>helping someone that's using windows
haha faggot
Windows wasn't designed for people with Alzheimer's I'm afraid.
>being this dumb
How are you allowed to be here
You tell me.
>>now i have no idea what the fuck i'm even doing
should've posted this one at the top tbqh
Why not just search for the missing folder then? It's really not that hard.
How about you don't know which folder is missing
Since 7 a lot of critical system files are placed under the ownership of a special user called "TrustedInstaller", you can't touch these files by default. You have to jump through hoops to change ownership or use a special program which enables certain NT privileges.
Actually, you can't even SEE these files by default.
Be more careful then.
