Why would you even need another argument next to the ones you already posted? All these reasons alone are enough to ditch it. I can give you another one though:

Windows 10 is not Free and Open Source Software.

Fuck off communist.

Use win 10 for games. If you arent using games use a good os like mac or debian, mint, ubuntu, ect. U can even run centos if u like being gay

No reason to use 10 over 7. DX12, 10's only selling point, sucks balls

I agree, I don't see anything that supports DX12 that's actually decent or really benefits from it. It's even slower on my end with something like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Win 10 runs better and win 7 cant do multi monitor worth a fuck. Both are botnet so dont kid yourself

10 only has ads if you want it to have ads, ``botnet" is a non-argument and doesn't apply in a 7 vs 10 argument anyway as all Windows versions are ``botnet", and 10 only nags you about updates if you want it to nag you about updates.

10 includes all of 8's debloating, resource management, and performance improvements over 7. If you don't want to use 10 you should at least be using 8, 7 is such a horrible mess that MS had to do a major cleanup of the Windows codebase afterwards to remove all the Frankenstein-esque bloat that plagued it. For 10 specific features you have things like WSL and UWP, which are both pretty major selling points.

>U can even run centos if u like being gay
Basement dweller

Literally no difference between multi-monitor win7 vs win10. WTF you even on about?

Not him, but you can't snap windows to sides (let alone corners) adjacent to other displays on 7/8.1, unless you do that with the keyboard.

Aside from that... not sure.

>win 7
>add monitor
>new empty screen that uses your same background
>background cant be changed except by 3rd part
>no task bar on extra monitors

>win 10
>all backgrounds customizable
>extended monitors have their own customizeable task bar

>10 only has ads if you want it to have ads
No, it has ads by default. It only has NO ads when you explicitly disable them. That's not the same, bruh.

>Frankenstein-esque bloat that plagued it.
You completely switched win7 and 10 around here. There's no "code cleanup". Win10 has all the shit aggregated since '95 (look at the 5 different dialog styles and '95 font rendering bugs). It's code base is even bigger then win7.

There's no way you've been using both windows 7 and 10 and come to this conclusion. I don't believe you.

>Both are botnet so dont kid yourself
You can choose not to install updates which include telemetry capabilities on Windows 7. Both operating systems are closed source, choose the lesser evil.

windows 10 forces updates that have a high chance to give you bluescreens

>win7
>disconnect monitor
>application window move to other monitor

>win10
>disconnect monitor
>application window gone forever

W10 LTSB has none of that shit, fite me fagit

Or destroy unsaved documents.

>umplugging your monitor
No one cares

>W10 LTSB has none of that shit
Cite sources then.

not an argument, rajeesh

But in return you have a beta version of the system. And you don't want to have a beta version of any Windows, at all.

>>Windows 10 has ads
Why am I not allowed to use this argument?

Because everyone knows already, and some people don't give a shit because they can turn it off

Sry wrong name

>Windows 10 has ads
where are those? I don't see any.
>Windows 10 nags you with updates
no it doesn't

If you had a job you'd encounter a docking station once in a while. Like on your desk. One you leave behind when visiting a client.

I would imagine this sounds all very weird to you.

>Change my mind without using the main and valid points to this argument.

>you have a beta version of the system
wat?
No, ltsb is the long service branch, actually is the most possibly stable version of the system. In fact, Its out of the newest meme update for some months because of it.
No store, no cortana, access to all the dirty customization bits. The perfect wangblowz.

Why would I care about people ignoring these blatant violation of people's experience? It's like trying to stop someone from committing suicide while on his 20th attempt.

just checked
not true
application windows move to main monitor the same as in win7

I dont work a poojeet IT job. We use mac and lincucks for software dev. Windows 10 is for home pc gaming, as i had already said. You dont hot swap docks and monitors while it running at home

>blatant violation
What ninny world do you live in that having to turn something off in a control panel is a blatant violation

You're software dev and you just ignore platform that has ~85% market share.
Wow, stay assmad. Leave docking stations for '''''plebs''''' and ''''pajeets'''''

Serving ads in a paid product is a blatant violation. Not the action of "fixing" this shit.

Well, it wasn't paid for quite a long time and you could still get it for free through alternate methods.

I dont give a fuck about the """85%"""" normies

I recommend staying on 7 unless you really need a new feature or new drivers

>I'm butthurt about windows
>I dont give a fuck about windows users

Playing chinese porn games on W10 might be more of a chore.

So far it seems the exact same.

Not at all. Some AppLocale applications don't work and others that work (like Locale Emulator) mess up fonts in a few games, something that doesn't happen in 8.1/7.

Not only that, when switching locales manually not only it does require a restart, of course, but sometimes W10 won't fully restart at all, it will get stuck in the typical shutting down windows but "making a few changes, so don't shutdown the PC" screen.

>buggy
>no drivers

>no drivers

>modern PC
>install Windows 7
>have to keep an installer for realtek ethernet drivers
>basic GPU drivers without acceleration

>install Windows 10
>ethernet drivers automatically installed
>GPU drivers automatically installed

wut

>get windows 10 netbook
>everything works
>downloads updates, restarts
>BSOD loop

>fresh install Fall update
>half of drivers missing
>"Your system is up to date :^)"

Man, that must suck. I never got a BSOD in 10 since it came out.

Windows 7 grabs drivers from the Internet just like Windows 10 does. The ethernet edge case you described is possible for a very new NIC (chipset, date of purchase of device doesn't say shit).

Really? I only switched to win10 at work (new laptop) and I already had two.

I cloned the original system back, but who knows when will it try to update again
it gave me the "Cannot create ramdisk" and the bad memory fix suggested on most websites didn't help.

a part of that sentence escaped, sorry for that.

>a very new NIC
So integrated ethernet on some cheap H81 chipset motherboard is very new? Was windows 10 even out by the time those boards were in the market?

Windows 7 actually has a consistent interface.

Idgaf, and no one does. Use your trash OS and fuck off.

>say wangblows 10 is only good for games
>aspie poojeet complains about office network
Fuck off i dont care about your shitty IT internship

No one cares if you have a stinky, crusty cunt.

haahahahahah

...

>keeps posting shit
>no one cares

Heh, I'm finding your name kinda convincing

complete junk

ahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

winblows 10 pajeets btfo

...

How do I do that? I can't reproduce it here. My edge somehow resizes just fine. Is there a registry edit for that?

...

Is that windows 10? I never used anything else besides 98, server 2008, xp and windows 7

7 has a better legacy support and a more consistent UX

...

Yes, it is Win10

>Blame the OS

Alrighty then, is it a chore to install Windows 7 these days with the absurd amount of updates over the years that the normal ISO doesn't have?

support.microsoft.com/fi-fi/help/3125574/convenience-rollup-update-for-windows-7-sp1-and-windows-server-2008-r2

Nah

I agree with your initial statement. It's like OP is asking "Explain to me this 2+2 business, but don't use the number 4, concrete concepts like addition or increasing amounts or and abstract concepts." I mean there comes a point when you're all up in that Zen Mu.

op is straight if we don't use the following arguments:

>op sucks cock
>op takes it up the ass
>op gargles cum

Many thanks

Don't install this: It contains all telemetry updates.

wsus offline security only updates works wonders

10 is more bloated than 7. there was a cleanup for 8 but it's far from debloated. Windows 10 is windows vista + 7 + 8 - a small amount of legacy code + 10. it's the largest most bloated windows yet and the only version to come with preloaded junk like candy crush saga, Xbox integration (whether you want it or not), and mobile tier UWP ports.

UWP is in no way a selling point for most people. I would argue 90%+ of people don't even know it exists. The version of windows 10 I begrudgingly use actually minimizes the use of UWP on purpose because even m$ realizes no one seriously wants it.

>all Windows versions are ``botnet
windows 7/8 were not botnets until 10 was released and the telemetry was pushed back to those versions in an update. fortunately you can actually control individual updates in those versions and simply uninstall them.

Windows 10 is the only version so intrusive it will aggressively ignore hosts and connection settings to try and phone home. It's the only version of windows which requires network level firewalls to stop the spying.

LTSB is literally the most stable version of win 10 (which isn't saying much but still)

Thanks folks, might use the russian pack because honestly I can't be bothered. By the way, UEFI/GPT or BIOS/MBR on a modern machine?

Depends what you need. I prefer MBR, also DAZ Loader on Ultimate 7 works. For GPT you have to use KMS activation and Enterprise 7, but with really no real advantages.

Would prefer the option for better boot times, though I use an SSD.

Also, does Windows 7 enable TRIM by default?

>Would prefer the option for better boot times
On my 3770k and Intel 530 SSD, 7 boots in like 5 or 6 seconds. My monitor starts slower.

>Also, does Windows 7 enable TRIM by default?
Yes, anything since Vista SP1 supports TRIM and it is enabled by default.
youtube.com/watch?v=NnBk2IGYerU

Forgot to say that I use MBR, not GPT.

MBR it is then. I'm not going to use multiple partitions or OSes.

>someone else should own the thing that i have payed for
idk sounds like socialism to me senpai

Fucking this. The UI on windows 10 is an absolute disaster (even 8 did it better).

I'm just a normal guy who likes cool tech, and Windows 10 is one cool piece of tech. Ignore the haters!!

You should not use win 7 or win 10.

It doesn't peg your CPU/HDD at all times.

TFW PC started freezing up once in a while after trying FCU and blamed that on it but same symptoms appeared after installing 7 and got worse and it turned out the hard disk that I redirect my profile folders to has started to fail.

...I can still blame that on FCU, right?

...

>not going in the middle and using 8.1

Sorce on "girl"?

Can W7 be made very, very botnet free without just replacing it with a linux distro?

Yes. 7 by default lacks most telemetry crap that was introduced in 8 and especially 10.
