Pretty much this. Knew someone from work who went to live there due to business. He said he was pretty impress of the capital but outside it was total dogshit.

Indonesia is decent if you're in Jakarta or Bali. $200k can net you a good house easy, living costs are literally peanuts and there's a solid expat community.
