post your cinebench and other benchmarks here, see how you stack up, see how well your overclocks, and hardware compares to others.

>that costs twice as as much as a 1700 lmao

a 1700 is $190?

2903 multicore
157 single core

tr 1950x stock

...

that at stock frequencies?

Its a Xeon, so you're pretty much stuck at ~3.64GHz-3.9GHz.

This is my upgraded lenovo z370 with an i7 2720qm

148 single core

Why hasn't someone made an equivalent, cross platform benchmark yet?

Can it really be all that difficult?

It is crossplatform my dude.

Windows and OSX only.

...

oh shit didn't realise my cpu isn't listed

i7 930 3.6ghz

Too bad I cant get over 4.7ghz on all 6 cores

Somebody send me a old gpu please

The cpu temp gets too high?

Hi

Hopefully Zen+ raises clock speed to 4.2-4.5 range. Zen has decent IPC, but man that 4.0GHz wall is a kick to the nuts.

How do I get cinebench to not cap fps at my monitor refresh rate?

Is that at 4GHz? I'm getting slightly better results than that.

nah, trapped at 3.8. Upping the voltage doesn't get me any further.

...

ran at 3700mhz , 1.25v and 24gb 2133mhz ram

Ah. One of the reasons I paid a little more for a 1700X was wanting a better chance of hitting 4GHz to satisfy my autism, even if the performance difference is next to nothing. The 1700 seems to have a pretty low chance of making it there. They're practically the same price in the UK anyway.

I ended up spending the money I saved by going for the 1700 on my GPU. God I wish Vega hadn't sucked so hard.

761 on an i7 970 at stock clocks, not gonna bother with an OC since i fried my i7 930 after running at 4.2GHz for like 6+ years

I was planning on upgrading to Ryzen but don't see any benefit since I'm on the road so much these days, gonna get a Switch instead
Shit even when I do come home I play stuff that isn't really taxing on my PC

Unstable OC at 5 GHz.
