It runs non free software

no u

where can I find this phone

no stylus

Sent from my Verizon Wireless Galaxy Note8

it has andronit

No cases

No headphone jack you cockwomble

Expensive.

It has a headphone jack.

I'm fine with it being 720p, but 1080p on a screen that size wouldn't kill them.
Even with a 1080p display, it'd likely still get better battery life than most.

the headphone jack is where it should be (the top)

The phone is dangerously close to the edge of the table

the proper term is "edging"

The fact that theres a term for this is a problem in itself

>dagerously
A fall from a table should be no problem for a cellphone.
If it is, then that is a flaw.

It's a little small for lanklet fingers. Edges slightly too sharp. Distortion from wide lens in camera (got an update this morning, maybe fixed). Otherwise pretty comfy upgrade from Nexus 5 desu senpai.

Nice, battery block. Looks like a 10,000mwh one

THICCC

No PS/2 port for external keyboard

Seriously that press photo is weird as fuck
I guess they were trying to make the background interesting to detract from how boring their phone looks

best (and cutest) form factor

It may cause brain tumours.

Easy, their incredibly shitty developer support. Had to replace my Z1 compact mostly because new roms had no decent driver for proprietary camera and pictures were useless.

>Sony

How is Z1C running in 2017?

>literally only company who gives a shit about aesthetics and design
>losing market share because of retarded marketing

I fucking HATE how some phones put the headphone port on the bottom. Whats the thought process? When i try to grab it and accidentally hit the home button, waking it up...

>what's the thought process
Applel is doing it, so we need to do it too!

Not that user, but I have one. Battery died after 2 years, after market batteries are shit and even when you finally DO manage to get one (that still overheats in my case so the phone won't charge under load) you'll realize that there are damn near no new ROMs for it. The one or two that exist and are nougat based have serious back camera issues because sony refused to release any sort of drivers for it. Back camera won't even focus, you gotta be really lucky to get anything that isn't a complete, unrecognizable blur.

Bottom line: I loved my Z1C but after this whole fiasco just bought an S7 instead and am happy with my phone since.

When you pull it out of your pocket, you're already holding it the right way. If it were the other way around, you would have to turn the phone around again once it is out of your pocket.

It's fucking tiny.

On the top? What stupid shit is that? It makes sense for a walkman because a walkman didn't have a screen in which the wire from the headphones could get in the way of.
Also, most people put their phones in their front pocket top first, so it makes more sense for the jack to be on the bottom.

It's fucking RAW!

Why do you want every phone to be a phablet today? I like big screens as much as the next guy, but can't we leave some good choices for people with Trump hands or small pockets?

It's gonna start shutting down and bootloping for no apparent reason in one month.

Zero support. No stable Lineage.

Supid freedomfags the government doesn't care about your trap porn or hentai

It launched with 8.0 and usually xperias get like 2+ years of updates.

Isn't that just LG?

2 years is zero, especially with little to no developer community.

Nope. Happened to my Z2, my Z3 Compact and my M4. Sony did replace them when it happened so there's that. Unfortunately, that means you can't install custom ROMs and the stock one is shit.

My z3c is still fine on that front, but the front glass/screen is starting to separate from the main body in the top left corner. Think I'll be okay until December?

your phone's about to fall off the table

No fingerprint sensor

>all these anons ITT talking about their bad experiences with sony
I've had a galaxy s4 since it was released and never had any problems with it. I just ordered the xz1 compact. Should I be worried?

camera distortion is the only real problem

to get tmobile wifi calling and volte you need to do some flashing, but its easy.

this phone is great

>Lack of a fingerprint sensor isn't a real problem.
>Lack of a 1080 display isn't a real problem.
>Price of 700$ isn't a real problem.
>Sony software update cycle isn't a real problem.
>Bezels the size of China isn't a real problem.
I wouldn't buy this shit at 700$, but that's because I have different expectations from my smartphone and why don't push them on others.

>>Lack of a fingerprint sensor isn't a real problem.
youre too retarded to flash i see
>>Lack of a 1080 display isn't a real problem.
better battery
>>Price of 700$ isn't a real problem.
i got mine for $500
>>Sony software update cycle isn't a real problem.
been getting steady monthly security updates.
>>Bezels the size of China isn't a real problem.
your only valid complaint

Epoxy it down, dummy. Look up a glue that won't hurt electronics.

>Being forced to flash a custom ROM to get a fully functioning device.
Yep pay to do more work.
>>Better Battery
A full 10 minutes extra.
$
Still, would buy the OnePlus 5 over it.
>>Monthly software updates.
Wait till android O comes out.

who flips their phone around as they pull it out? If you put it on the top you can just pull it out and have it facing the correct direction. If the headphone port is on the bottom, then you have to flip it.
I had an HTC one m7 for 4 years and couldn't understand phones that had the jack on the bottom.

Kek

>Wait till android O comes out.
ok
oh wait

also
>flashing

?

it's about to fall

The camera is shit for a flagship phone, and it has been shit since the original Xperia Z.

t. I own a XZc1

Screen should had been 1080p and no radio.

A plus for me. Since I'm not paying for sensors that I'll never use. Dual cameras is another example.

>no radio

fpbp

BEZELSSSSSSSSSS

The Xperia Z series looked great in 2013, but haven't kept up with the times. The Xperia X looks like a slightly refreshed XZ, not what you want to see when dealing with a division that has bled money for years now.

>not paying for sensors I'll never use
>$700
Okay

They should had gone with a SD660 instead
of a top of the line SD835 which is a huge waste on the 720P display.

Except there is a fingerprint sensor

That'd be a pro

Made by Sony

Can i replace the battery?

Yes, but you have to use tools when opening the phone, probably best to take it to a phone repair shop if that's what you want to do.
Don't see why'd you'd need to replace it, unless you're carrying around an extra battery all day for extra battery life, in which case, just use a power bank.
