Why do Asians have the best internet speed?

China has terrible speeds

wat

South Korea shares internet for i.e. one building.
I pay $30 for 100/100, can pay $80 for 1000/1000.

$10 for 200/200, topkek

high population density enables more efficient, intensive infrastructure building.
like a half of koreans for example live around seoul, so they can raise the average by a large margin just by developing around the area.

10 Mbps is enough. I don't need any further speed.

Plus its a cheaper investment to develop for a densely populated area than rural ones.
Less "land" work required to get more potential subscribers.

And here I'm sitting in the great fucking plain of nowhere limited to a max speed of ADSL2 and I'm too fucking far from the goddamn DSLAM to get the max of that 8mbit.

>2013

maybe they inexpensively dangle their telecom cables along with their overhead power cables?

in finland everyone is starting to use wireless internet at least in the country side

Nvm, new report out for Q1 2016.

...

Outdated graph you have there

looks like im outdated aswell

>they don't have gigabit Google Fiber

...

how is the speed reduced when you connect with servers outside of Norway?

because it benefits corrupt interest groups and politicians and easy things to do

ping and speed aren't the same things

I don't know, but the nordics aren't too bad either.

It's supposed to be better. Meh.

its not really reduced that much, unless its from the shithole australia

relatively small countries tend to have good speed

For me, the speed was dramatically increased when I connect with the US server because Google recently installed terabit fiber between Japan and the US.
