I'm a long distance runner so having less than average bpm helps me.

Around 60-90

Do you realize how fucking huge the gap between 60-90 is? You could've simply made no estimation, that would've been more helpful.

Shit, 49 is crazy low. Do you have an underlying medical condition or is it just your normal bpm?

here. Going under 50 is common for people who do certain types of sports. Some top athletes even go under 30

used to be about 50 when I still jogged
I should probably start jogging again before my bones turn into chalk

don't. running is bad for you, start lifting or hiit running

Yeah i heard it was good for athletes to have low bpm's, but didn't know it was that common to have bpm's in the 40's.

Idk man you sure bpm changes with age? I mean as you grow old I'm sure it rises but the difference between a 15 and 20 year old should be negligible, no?

Lifting isn't cardio. Probably still better than nothing though when done reasonably. HIIT tends to be an unsustainable habit due to how much it sucks. Running is not bad for you

Jogging is aerobic cardio whereas HIIT or barbell complexes are anaerobic.

It's better to do hiit if you wish to preserve musclemass/make optimal gains.

Think the difference between a sprinter and a Marathon runner. One looks like an AIDs patient and the other has sizeable muscle mass. Which is which?
