It's cheap and werks

I think "reset password" is different from "remote access"

I'm actually not a pedophile so this doesn't concern me.

I don't run Google's framework so I don't have this problem.

>only works if you're using Android 5.0 or older without disk encryption
wow it's fucking nothing

>the "you have to be a criminal to be concerned about the government" meme

Apple is a part of prism. Also why don't they follow court orders? Are they above judiciary?

based terroristbro

>exactly half of android users can be accessed remotely
Yeah it's nothing dude

I meant more along the lines of it doesn't affect anyone who really cares about privacy, they won't be using a phone that's 4 years out of date with no encryption

Also I misread, it says older than 5.0, so 5.0 users aren't actually affected. It's even less of nothing

shit, time to encrypt muh internal storage

Uh oh...
Oh wait! I don't give a fuck! If I want to transport my personal data I just use a memory card or usb storage. They can see or get my epic memes if they want them. Fuck you Google.

Because I don't have Gapps installed so they can't do shit. MicroG for the win!

'i'm not a pig so the wolf won't eat me'
said the sheep

*remotely reset password, dumb google shill

Mah niggah.

If I encrypt my phone, will I still be able to flash rom updates?

No company is going to put themselves in prison for defending literal criminals. You guys are about as retarded as the VPN fags. Don't expect some random people to take the rap for your stupid ass decisions.

what are the alternatives, OP?

iPhone

>feelsbadman.jpg

not trying to shill for apple, but isnt the other problem the fact that apple also probably wouldnt give data from their cloud, but google would? cause it seems like if they can, they will. apple doesnt seem to do that just because they can

>VPN fags

I don't get it.

This. I would dejewgle if there were better alternatives.

>what is LineageOS

Pajeet pls

Haha yeah, let's use an open source OS to fight against the FBI! It will go great :)

>t. ebt jamal apple fag

>hurr my VPN company gave my info to the FBI instead being charged for something they had no involvement in.
It's YOU doing the illegal activities, not your VPN. VPN is there to lower your chances of getting caught, not to take the fall for you once you do.

>apple refused
>FBI simply outsources it to an Israeli firm

you goys are beyond retarded

I don't trust open source OS's, seriously, exploits just get found and never reported because the code is open.

>apple fag
Not even. I just expect my phone to work when I need it and cobbled together pajeet shit isn't on the table

Custom ROM, no gapps, FBE. They can format it from TWRP, but not decrypt.

>>android is programmed to allow google to access it remotely

And this is news how exactly? I thought this was well known.

Baseless namecaller.

sailfish os is an alternative

Dumbo.

>Why do you still use it?

Because Sailfish OS doesn't work with my dual SIM.

My workaround is to avoid putting any personal info on my phone.
I have a Thinkpad with 4G so I can use that whenever I need to do something sensitive on the move.

You're a ignorant idiot.

Some criminal bought about $300 in Bitcoin from be back in 2013 and I found out that this criminal paid me using some kind of scammed bank account when police broke into my home and stole some items and listed others as "evidence" in 2015. That's two years later. The dumb-as-a-cow policemen managed to see that this minor amount went from some scammed bank account to mine and decided that I must have done something wrong.

I was never convicted of anything but that's almost irrelevant compared to the damage they did.

You're naive if you don't think criminal policemen can't find some excuse to steal from you even if you never do anything criminal. There's no reason to let it be easy for criminal policemen to snoop through your computers and devices.

It's also worth noting that I did file charges against the criminal policemen. They did not lose their jobs or get any problems even though they had to admit to a eight different offences in relation to this. That really shook my faith in the justice system.

>something sensitive
Now what are you hiding user?

[highlight on] 74 PERCENT OF ANDROID PHONES!!! [highlight off] older than Andoid 5 with no disk encryption...

Why do shills always do silly shit like this? They think everyone is as stupid as they are and won't read the whole sentence?

My banking details are the main thing.

Not this dumbass copypasta again. When you overuse it people start to recognize it.

>a company can go to prison

>copypasta
I've never copy-pasted this story but perhaps I should since I do type it in from memory every time some idiot writes that "I never do anything wrong so I the police will never commit grave crimes against me".

I don't care if you recognize it, I do care that you get the point. Not sure you did.

SHEEP LOVE GOOGLE

AND APPLE

>Only on unencrypted phones running ancient versions of Android
So basically like 0% of users that actually care about privacy

>it's ok because not many people are affected anymore

Poorly worded. It would obviously be individuals within the company and not the company itself. Don't be a tard.

> older than 5.0
they deserve it

100% of devices without encryption are vulnerable.
Not that this excuses Google's horseshit, but I think it's a bit obvious that [users of botnet product] are susceptible to [botnet exploitation].

>unlike apple

holy FUCK do ifags actually believe this shit? the most restrictive and locked down devices on the market can't be remotely accessed by their manufacturer?

why dont burgers pass laws to curb these companies? because they are fucking out of control?

...

hmm let's see what do I use my phone for..
google maps
10 texts a month
1 phone call a month
wow they can really get me in my internet crimes with my shitty phone data!

Nice selfie. Low the filter.

>1 phone call a month
Autism speaks.

I use the computer and wire m8

explots get found and never reported in proprietary OSs constantly, usually by the NSA

>"freedom of speech shouldn't be a thing because not everybody is able to talk"

>Google Maps
You'll never walk alone

It's not a copypasta . It just seems like the same guy posting. This post had a lot more detail then in the last thread he posted in.

>apple can't reset phones
What? There's iCloud anti-Tyrone features, they could easily lock someone's phone if they wanted.

>VPN is there to lower your chances of getting caught

You don't understood nothing of what he said.

windows phone masterpleb race here

iOS have the same relationship with Apple. Use real alternatives or ditch GAPPS.

>has security flaw in old versions
>releases new version with fix for security flaw
>old version still has security flaw

A reminder that, while Google is Google and should know better, smartphones have only existed in their current form for 10 years, and every smartphone OS worth using, plus iOS, have fixed this particular flaw, so it's a non-issue. I have literally never used a smartphone that would have been affected by this issue.
