I'm a complete noob with building pcs, Is this gray circle on my h115i preapplied thermal paste? The texture and form of it is so perfect it kind of doesn't look like it.

It most likely is.

No, it's swiss cheese

Yes, idiot.

Alright, it probably is. Have I placed these wires in the correct location?

>visible scratch marks on the copper

literally take 5 seconds to polish it for a better surface

what the fuck retards cheap out on such a simple thing?

read the damn manual

RTFM nigger

Check your manual or google it

I honestly did, but there were differences on the layout in the manual to how it looks on my mobo, so I kind of tried to put them where I thought they should be. If anyone can see if this is wrong at first sight pls just tell me and I'll try again.

That's mold, clean your shit

>his mobo doesn't have a g connector

Dude that's what thermal paste is for. Unless you have two perfectly smooth surfaces on your CPU package and the cooler plate you'll still need some form of thermal paste between to get better heat transfer. It's literally not worth polishing it till it's shiny.

>using thermal paste
>not cleaving your cpu and heatsink in vacuum
>not using metals with matching lattice constants and crystal structure

It is. Leave it alone.

Or clean that shit off and put some superior goop on.

Check the manual pin outs my friend.

No, that doesnt look right. Google it

Holy shit do not come to this board with this kind of shit...

Lick it and find out.

should be marked pretty well on your motherboard, if not seek the manual.

If the manual is wrong that is annoying.
And did your motherboard not come with one of these blocks? - they make connecting the wires a lot easier and AFAIK all decent brands use them now.

If all fails just use trial and error, you can't damage anything.
