Pirate party is about to take power in Iceland. What do you think about them? Nordic posters are welcome to explain. From what I've read it's interesting anti-establishment leftist party staying for freedom of speech, anti-copyright, social benefits and against corruption. Pretty based in my opinion.
Discuss.

>leftist party staying for freedom of speech

They are pirate party, against any restrictions on internet, against any censorship.

Bump

t. cnn worker

They are a meme and will never become relevant in a sane country

40% of support according to latest polls in Iceland.

>Iceland
>Sane country
We have them too, but they have never even got 1% of the vote in an election and I doubt that that will ever change.

I think Iceland's pirate party is quite a bit better than ours, ours are just cringy computer science students.

Would be interesting.

They aren't a bad party but they have a very narrow field of expertise, i'd rather have them be strong in the opposition than be the government majority

It's basically mlp. They had good ideas, anti spy laws, freedom of internets, direct democracy, etc. They took power here too, but then reality hit them hard. They have disappeared entirely since then.

What do you expect from inbred codniggers?

They wanted to digitalize all of the bureaucratics which is a huge plus in my opinion.

That doesn't work for old people.

They didn't care. It wasn't an old people party.

Catering to old faggots is the one of the root reasons why Merkel opened the flood gates. She needed young blood that she thought would pay for old cubts' retirement

pic are the politicians of the pirate party

Come on Hans, post the legless guy in the wheelchair.

I'm not saying we should pay for ridiculous retirement funds or something, just that old people are generally not so good with electronics, and if we digitalize all bureaucratics old people won't be able to do their administration.
Nobody benefits from that.

probably pro-refugee as well.

I know. But then they have to learn it.
It's actually much better for them, if they could do all their stuff from their computer at home instead of walking to an office and waiting there for hours.

Pirate parties generally aren't leftist, in fact they have people from both the left and right. Of course it depends on how you define left/right in your country.

>But then they have to learn it.
Nearly impossible.
Everybody older than 60 should be forbidden to use electronics.

Here they never made any statements regarding this. They see themselves more as party which wanted to support the right of co-determination. They support direct participation, in the best way if everything is digital without much politicians.
