I tried to use Edge. It flashed on my screen for about 1/10 of a second and vanished without any sign of what had gone wrong. And there's damn near nothing I can do about it other than attempt to 'reset' its state, because Windows doesn't really let you go poking around there or troubleshoot much.
Such stability and quality. UWP apps are truly amazing.

I am with you OP.
Been using Edge on my Surface since the first day and that makes 22 months. I was rarely using Opera alongside for the VPN before, but not anymore for a long time.
Edge is the only browser that is friendly to touch. Computers without a proper touchscreen is as good as a life without mains electricity: If you never had it, than you are fine without; but it is very much inconvenient to live without, once you live with it for a couple of days and experience its convenience.
Edge even have adblocking capabilities?
It's kinda a must nowadays with the advertising networks pushing viruses mercilessly.

I would use it of they fixed Ublock Origin and made HTTPS for it. And of course make addons install able through the browser not windows store. Or let unsigned addons on instead of turning them off at every reboot.

When I sideloaded UO and activated all the filters, it still showed me ads on Youtube while other sites worked, so I dropped Edge. This was like two months ago.
