Now we stop pirating?

I fail to see how this is bad...

Kill yourself

>only criminals want net neutrality
Not surprise here.
Fuck off, you thief.

>thief

No.

You're the thief. Property is theft.

Yeah, bittorrent is EXCLUSIVELY used for distributing illegal and/or copyrighted content.

Now prove you don't pirate like all of us, hypocritical mongoloid liar NORMIE

I'm not poor.

Name one legit use of it.

Nice damage control, cuck.
You could also use that line from hentai djs about your ass feeling incredible from getting fucked by an old fat man.

Peer to peer file sharing.

have you literally never downloaded any piece of software that had the direct link or torrent link.
The torrent is always faster and helps them save money on their servers.

Heh... U mad, cucks? It's all in Trumps MAGA plan. Next he will drain the swamp and deport mexicans.

Distribution of FOSS projects, scientific research data. Mostly stuff that's large and/or offered by parties that cannot afford lots of bandwidth.

We use it at work to distribute binaries to tens of thousands of our servers around the globe. It's way faster and easier to manage than mirroring artifact servers in every data center.

Yeah of copyrighted material

Ehm, Ehm. I2P. Ehm.

You don't need BitTorrent for that.

As far as I'm concerned, Donald Trump can just FUCK RIGHT OFF

Yeah fuck Trump and fuck white people. #imwithher

Ya but it makes it a hell of a lot easier like said

Yes, you do.
Otherwise some party will have to bear the cost of hosting everything, which is too expensive for the cases listed.

>Hillary banning pirating
lmaoing @ your jewish faggotry

Strawman.

Bittorrent is very well suited for this and also widely adopted. What alternative would you suggest? I don't think you can come up with anything better then or even equivalent to bittorrent.

Of original material

>year of Our Lord MMXVII
>being poor

>I've never downloaded more than several hundred GB of corporate/scientific documents, or archives

The whole point of this is to free up the market so it can provide better solutions for that, you fucking cucks.

Geez, lrn2economics!

(You)

How am I supposed to download terabytes of Linux images if I can't use torrents?

Of ANY material. Bittorrent doesn't care

>"the free market will fix it" meme

>quick quick gotta come up with some defense
>this is against the white man!
>yeah, that will do, faggots will eat that
>shill's hard work day

That's the problem and why it needs to be banned

this was not what our founding fathers intended

ritchie, thompson, pike, et al

What about applications that use the torrent protocol for update distribution?

Like https? It doesn't care either...

Well Obama put the street shitter in the FCC.

Encryption is the tool of pedos and terrorists

Ow yeah, sure BAN something so theres more room for an alternative that's not even here yet.

Dude, you're now just acting desperate. Bittorrent is fine. It's not outdated, deprecated or broken. It is however implemented all over the place and banning it makes low cost distribution of data impossible.

It's true, just ask equifax

> Free speech is used by everyone
> free speech is also used by racists
> wow fuck free speech
Retard

It will, you commie cuck.

You faggots just don't have enough faith in the free market.

As soon as stupid nanny state regulations like net neutrality are removed, we'll get cheaper and more effective market solutions to those problems - as long as there's a demand for it.

If no solutions turn up, it's because there was never a demand for it unlike you guys are saying, and that it really was only being used for illegal activities (intellectual property theft).

OH NO! HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET OUR DEBIAN ISOS?!

Except free speech is a constitutional right.

File sharing isn't.

Call your law makers anons. Send them faxes through texting 504-09.

Congress cannot stop the FCC from doing this without making net neutrality a real law instead of an FCC rule. We have lost control of the FCC but not congress. We can keep pushing congress and they'll have to choice to enact a law. The bonus here is that while it's simple for the FCC to change its rules, as we're seeing now, it's not simple at all to change a congressional law. It may take some time, 6-12 months to get this done, but congress must act if enough people are upset about it. Don't give up.

But did he allow him to hold us down for raping by telcos? No, he had to wait for GOP administration and le Trump top show his true colors. Maybe he just does whatever he is told or paid to do?

Hate speech isn't free speech. Fuck Trump and the racist white people that voted for him

Bittorrent is shit, use Deluge.

No one's banning it. If you don't like it, start your own ISP where BitTorrent is allowed. It's the free market, you better get used to it.

>He has served in various positions at the FCC since being appointed to the commission by President Barack Obama in May 2012, at the recommendation of Mitch McConnell.

>In January 2017, President Donald Trump designated Pai as FCC Chairman.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajit_Varadaraj_Pai

Obama put him there, but Trump put him in charge. It doesn't matter though, they're all guilty of screwing us.

When exchanging files by p2p you exchange information.
When exchanging speech in a debate you exchange information.
You are retarded
And i now know what kind of retards are supporting this.
Btw i'm a liberal too you idiot

We already have a solution, a free solution that works perfecty you shithead. Do you want to remove air since it's free because nobody profit from it?

So you're saying that we should have to pay our ISP for every individual protocol that we use? And with the way you're talking protocols should be owned by companies and accessed through an agreement with your isp, like a fucking cable channel.

You don't know how the internet works.

So, you'd ban free speech if it wasn't? You see no problems with this? You even realize almost none of the internet you know could exists this way?

The real problem isn't Obama or Hillary or Trump or right or left, it's lack of separation between corporation and state.

Pai shouldn't even be eligible for any public office since he's a former Verizon lawyer. There's a clear conflict of interest between his interests and the interests of the American people which the gov't is supposed to represent.

>thinking that internet will be at south korean levels of fast and cheap when net neutrality is removed
let me use an argument that you retarded an-caps frequently use
why wasn't it already like that before net neutrality rules were approved?

There is an illusion of the free market. Which would you rather have, a market where no new competition can enter and you get throttled at any time or a market where no new competition can enter, but comcast can't throttle whenever they feel like. America hasn't been a free market in decades.

Obama how?
During him being POTUS, nothing bad happened with NN. It took a new administration for shit to happen. So I don't think you can blame him much. If he nominated somebody else, it wouldn't prevent this change of policy anyway, GOPs would just put in their worm anyway, maybe another one, but who cars which minion does us in?

meant for

This is how capitalism works, we must get fucked before things get better
Once the isp jews take too much gold people will realize internet should be regulated like our water and electricity.
i.e. non profit price controlled but not a government entity
our local electric company is awesome and legally forbidden from jewing, it's the only good solution

> It's the free market, you better get used to it. It's the free market, you better get used to it.
Ow wait, let me just switch provider then. OH I CAN'T BECAUSE THAT SAME PROVIDER BANNED COMPETITION. No conflict of interest at all here.

While i do love free market i do also think that it is the goverment's duty to make sure people's rights are not fucked over.
Also as a consumer i do not want for my internet subscription to become like cable

The problem is that the market IS NOT FREE.
Getting rid of net neutrality should be the last step of trying to make this whole mess free, but establishing your own ISP is too fucking impossible in this heavily guarded oligopoly.
Other obscure laws make it much harder to establish competition than NN.
Getting rid of NN will only enforce the market positions of those who own everything already.
What americans don't realize when they shout about their free market capitalism, is that america has one of the least free markets in this world since a really long time.

Burgers literally have lobbying as a legal and regulated practice, what do you expect?

Internet isn't a right

Oops i meant to send it to him

When even getting a job requires internet, it's starting to become one

>bittorrent is free speech, user
You're desperately grasping at straws at this point.

The courts have ruled on this already: cyber.harvard.edu/openlaw/DVD/NY/trial/op.html

That's just human rights lagging behind technological advancement. Access to information should be a human right.

Here it is Burger.

satellite internet will boom and become the new norm, fuck comcast

>free
You keep using that word...

Then propose a constitutional amendment, faggot. Good luck, lol

>satellite internet
>wanting insanely high ping to be the norm

In the near future you'll wish it were if you cannot afford to shitpost on Sup Forums anymore.

>>Sup Forums

Through the internet anonymous free speech is performed every day. This site is proof of the chaotic nature of it. That in turn means that blocking access to this site is an indirect means of censorship.
Also i think the UN labled the internet a human right.

Nobody on Sup Forums plays video games

Although I get a ragin boner over the idea, I don't think a decentralized internet over satellites will never be a thing. No government will allow this. They'll use the satellites as target practice. If such launches are even authorized in the first place.

That's old ass tech though. Elon is supposed to come in and save us with his new internet satellites. Ping times should be

>implying video games
enjoy your useless voice calls

>everything ever sure profits someone

Must be really sad to view world like you.

>The UN

>trying to ban a protocol
Someone's retarded and tech illiterate i see.
Unsurprisingly, it's a Pajeet street shitter.

Enjoy your massive propagation delays, you fucking autist.

How, though? Isn't the reason why satellite internet has high ping is because it's at the limit ofmspeed of light? Did Elon Musk managed to find a way to make quantum tunnelling useful?

I'd pick a community driven satellite network with >500ms ping over the existing one anytime.

It must hurt going through life having zero knowledge of economics like you do.

>voice calls
We have ways of transmitting symbols now, grandpa.

oh boy, you think starting an ISP is cheap, easy and fast eh? you need infrastructure, so you have to open public roads to lay double infrastructure and still rent access to the other ISPs networks to actually access other devices on the internet

Internet operators aren't a free market, and utility providers can never be, if they aren't regulated they'll just avoid competition to maximize ROI, and forming deals with landlords to be the exclusive network providers in their buildings to avoid competition from smaller operators

ISPs need to be regulated so they can't be the ones picking the services their customers can see

you order a set amount of data at a set speed, you should be able to use it how you see fit

"but muh NN gives government too much control"

it doesn't give the government more control over the internet, but removes control from the operators which is good for individuals and internet based businesses, only ones loosing are the ISPs, and they'll still be making profit (ref. arstechnica.com/information-technology/2017/05/title-ii-hasnt-hurt-network-investment-according-to-the-isps-themselves/ )

Yeah i know the UN is a fucking meme but it exists for a reason besides shekels for jews

>ban
No, they're going to throttle speeds to the point that it's pointless to use it. Comcast have already shown they can and have done this. NN is the only thing holding them back.

Yeah, it really does suck to be you

Every pro-(((net """"""""""neutrality""""""""""))) shill needs to watch this:

youtu.be/B03eByZia5I

Thank God.
This will lower everyone's bill because they won't get charged for shit they don't need or use.
I don't wanna pay for anyone's Netflix or degenerate porn watching.
I only go to text based sites so I'll saving a ton of cash.

Enjoy your freedom instead, faggot.

and that's automatically illegal?
many game launchers use bittorrent internally to download patches, this is copyrighted material, yet is perfectly legitimate

They're being paid by Soros, they don't care
