I unironically make my coworkers listen to anime music while working.

So is dance with the vampire bund actually worth?

Not unless you really like loli vampires

Here's a beat I've been working

part 2

My mom burned my kuroneko poster after she found my lolicon magazines

part 3

Go kill yourself, you fucking predophile NEET. Also, good luck with that eye strain you're getting from those fucking bright monitors.

My GUNNAR OPTIKS™ Help my eye strain

Hey what up good evening how are ya.

I'm good. You play counterstrike?

nah, I'm all about that Quake life. Got no beef with CS though; nice zowie

Gotcha, wondering because of the mouse setup lol. Is that fireplace in your room? Looks cozy as heck

Honest questions for those with a lot of anime stuff in their room. Do you live on your own? How often does your family/roommates/gf or bf enter the room? Does it bring up awkward conversations?

Yeah, it's disconnected though :( Purely aesthetic, it was all disconnected and the chimney bricked up before we moved in.

where did you get that mug

here; I live with my fiancée and two of our friends. Even when I lived at home before moving out though, I didn't really get any shit rom my family for my anime stuff; my parents didn't care and my friends either had the same interests or didn't care either. Don't be ashamed of your hobbies.

I live with my parents and have a couple anime things and a JAV poster. They don't really care

From an IBM sponsored event in the 1990's

I'm not ashamed, I just don't have any and was curious for the ones that do.

I want that IBM mug

Then buy one

I haven't been able or find one yet

sup

I imagine this is what a Russian /bst/ thread would look like.

I'm from Romania.

But yes, it would look the same very likely.

i fuckin nut

Yo what mouse is that I dig the white LED underglow

its a nixeus revel, sensei clone with a much better sensor (3360)

Time began on January 1st, 1970.

genuinely sounds pretty fucking good

Thanks me boy

Once my mum came in my room and I forgot to hide my scantily clad hatsune miku figurine.

>"whats this son?"
>"oh its just some singer robot thing from japan..."
>"...right, well, it's very nice..."
>"yeah, thanks"
nice powerlevel artwork and desk! don't suppose I could have a source on that chair? I've got some really bad posture after years of using a chair with non adjustable arms. :(

Looks pretty damn comfy. What city?
Great as usual. I would invest in something soft to put my feet on though if I where you.
Actually a fairly decent beat. I am surprised, not going to lie. Sounds kind of cyberpunk. Nice figurine collection too.
If you have the time and money, I would get a bigger desk. Pretty qt otherwise.
Thats comfy af. Can I come snuggle with you?
I like your mug. I personally would not enjoy backing up to a window, but if that makes you happy, go for it!
Would you like to meet some time user? I visit your country frequently. I could bring you a better monitor.
Hello Mr. Clean. Nice cactus.
This is me.

It's a Steelcase Leap

Thanks!

What model Trinitron?

...

panorama never comes out good on my fone, so just a regular pic.

part 2, closet lab.

Is the 898D+ any good? I have only read negative reviews, but I know a few people who own one.

it does the job. i really like being able to change the temperature, the heat gun is decent and overall inexpensive unit. i dont want to shill but im happy with it

kv-34hs420

The HDMI plug in is nice. It's a finicky ass TV but once configured through service menu it can look pretty nice.

I just find it kind of funny you have a very nice professional scope, and a $40 chinese iron/rework station. I do need some sort of rework station though so I will consider it even though I have a Hakko FX.

>stacking records horizontally

It's okay it's just a bunch club singles and the majority are shitty and worthless. For months now I've been trying to work through all of them to see what I wanna keep

honestly the scope is a little overkill for my needs but couldn't resist with the keygen crack thing to virtually upgrade it for free (remove software limitations).

idk, the soldering station does what I need, don't do a lot of smd or rework. its just a hobby.

recently gave all my vinyls to my friend cuz im over them. some of them are beautiful and i totally get the quality and nostalgia and what not, but all my stuff is digital so why am i keeping them. take up space, heavy and honestly i hate having to flip halfway through an album when im really into it. just unnecessary overhead

I agree, if you value accessibility and space in storage then it doesn't make sense to keep them. It's nice once in a while to lay in bed and play a few records but it does get annoying to have to keep getting up flipping and swapping records. I intend to make a new genre similar to vaporwave but samples 90's club records and slow them down till their big bassy spaced out cyberpunk beats with lot's of reverb. Probably not the first to do it but ima do it

First time posting. Be easy friends. I'm just now making the switch.

Here's mine

How do you like Linux so far?

jesus what's with all the fuckin weaboos

should immediately open a terminal and learn some shit

It's almost like you're on Sup Forums or something.

>comes to an anime website
>complains about anime
woo wee buddy

I guess. Maybe I just grew out of that shit and didn't realize others haven't.

fuck off

> Sup Forums
> anumei website
sure buddy.

What are you talking about, there's anime everywhere you look on here.

whats in the safe bruh

Coins. Windows 8.1 disk. My benzo prescription so no one steals it. Will keep my amptheamine rx there if i get it renewed.

...

Good! I think mint was the right newb choice. The learning curve is minimal, really. My near term goal is to build a home lamp server and switch a couple sites I have there.

No offense intended, but it is probably a good idea to keep your nix box off the WAN until you are a little bit more experienced with setting up security interfaces etc. Setting up a server is a great way to learn, but if you do put it on the WAN, make sure to put it on a different subnet (with a firewall) at the very least.

I personally haven't tried it but I've heard it's the best place to start. I distro hopped like a retard until I found out xubuntu perfection. I always find myself coming back to it.

How do you guys handle visitors with all that lewd / anime?

l-lewd poster? I like the desk.

Cute

Comfy, awfully close to the tv though

>implying anyone on Sup Forums ever gets visitors
n-neat

Your battle station makes me think you're not NEET.

It's snowstorm outside so tucking in comfy.

1/2

2/2

>tissues
Is the lotion under the desk?

Very nice user. 10/10 for sure.

Good call. What would be the best way approach security? I'll try building a local server for practice still and see if I can virtualize and isolate it I suppose.
I hear a lot of good things and hope to get there when I'm more comfortable but mint seems a good halfway point for people who are used to something working straight out of the box but have a lot of benefits of Linux available

>awfully close to the tv though
There's more space than it appears.

>What would be the best way approach security?
Always assume any server that touches the public net compromised. This will set you up the best for when it inevitably becomes so. That means isolating the network its on, not storing critical or compromising information on it, keeping good backups, that sort of thing.
Once you have done that, you can move on to delaying a potential attacker. Obscure it as much as you can. Don't open any ports you don't need to. Keep a well maintained firewall. Disable root logons. Set up fail2ban. Keep an eye on logs. Keep everything updated. Monitor your network traffic. Establish a baseline so you can understand when things are not behaving the way they want. I would highly suggest grabbing a Security+ study guide from the internet somewhere and studying it.

That's sound advice. Yeah the road may be a bit longer between me and my goal than I realized. Cool! I get to learn stuff. What do you do, helpful user? Also preferred resource? Also, are /cyb/+/sec/ and /hsg/ worth lurking

Maximum cozy

looks comfy inside, does the giant mousepad being mostly unusable get annoying? could use some cleaning, 6/10

My wife doesnt care about the few figures I have, and theyre scattered among my collection of crap anyway.
Super clean setup, absolutely love the floor and furniture, 9/10, just need some art or to replace that shitty wallpaper. Do you keep your headphones just sitting on the desk like that?

messy as fuck but I can appreciate not cleaning it for a pic. Honestly if you cleaned it up itd at least be decent but as is 2/10

gotta start somewhere, are you able to scoot the monitors back? seems like youre sitting really close to them. 5/10

Whered you get the pc box holder thing? really digging the lived in look, makes if seem like your place. 7/10 just needs to be straitened up.

Learning stuff is great, and these are skills that are very important if you want to go into industry. Even if you don't go into networking, a basic understanding of security can really help you out. I am a freelance computer engineer, but I have spent the last few years contracting doing systems architecture and network engineering. There are a few threads here that can be useful for news and basic discussion, but if you really want to get educated I would suggest finding some books and actually reading the material from the source. Also stay away from /hsg/. The bixnood guy keeps shitting up the place and I don't think he is going to go away any time soon.
If you want to email me, I might be able to send you some pdfs, [email protected].

Mousepad delivered yesterday so it's my second day of using it.

Too exhausted to clean up table after throughout cleaning of room and desk overhaul.

Based user! Email en route

Is that asus monitor good? Looks sleak

...

...

Is that actually totalbiscuit

hey guys

How much porn do you need to watch at one time?

it's actually because I want to have a bunch of things open without having to tab between them
probably autism or something

I've never actually put porn on every monitor for fun

How much did that set up cost?

I could never afford something like that as a NEET unless I applied for many credit cards, then maxxed them all out. Id have to go bankrupt after though.

>What city
Toronto m8.

I think total I've got $300 in monitors. I bought them all used.
The only "new" things currently are my keyboard, mouse, case, power supply, and cpu coolers.

Oh. I thought that'd be a thousands of dollars worth of them. Are they all 1080p or above?

the pc box holder? do you mean whats housing the tower?

i made it. completely recycled a large cooperate desk from an office closing down and throwing it in the dump. tabletop is a sold 6 feet by 3 feet.
put sit-stand adjustable legs on to the table top. turn sides into a standalone dresser and the back-wall into the cpu holder and the side table sitting on the piano stand.

took a weekend but fun project and got 3 pieces of functional furniture out of 1

all the 16:9 ones are 1920x1080
the TBMA is 3 1600x1200 IPS displays with super hot CFL backlighting
the whole thing probably puts out 200w of heat

Looks extremely comfy, jealous of the snow. What model keyboard is it?

Steelseries 6Gv2 (Cherry MX Black). It's been four years since brought but still rock solid.
