Well I'm happy you posted it. I thought the crack in the monitor frame happened while it was in storage. Obviously I was incorrect. Here it is in use today (I still have the PCs)

what is stopping a computer from running VGA programs when you have CGA.

is there a way to bypass this?

Very nice! I'm sure you can figure something out to hide the crack.

Special hardware. CGA is basically just directly displaying what's in memory, VGA is a little more complicated then that.
No way to bypass it.

A prank. Swapped my commander's office out with a bunch of 80s stuff I found on site. Just had to get the computer and I was set.

Aren't you the user stationed somewhere really remote but you have your Apple IIc with you?

Greenland. Not there now but yes.

Setup now...sorry for the mess. Still working on getting my PC room set up.

Ah, neat!
Lovely machines.

Working C65 (ops pic) on de ebay with ram card sold for over 80,000 euros couple of weeks ago.

The prototypes go for a lot.
The last one is the most expensive one yet.

Cute psone!

I really hope thats not someones actual wall decor
no real pussy has ever been within 50 yards of that place

Not those particular items and not the same room anymore. But I keep a lot of motherboards on walls that take up too much space to storage horizontally with proper protection.

>no real pussy has ever been within 50 yards of that place
You're damn right.

I guess in a storage sense its alright, as long as you know it doesnt look good aesthetically

I personally like it, that's all I care.
Two birds with one stone.

Man computers used to look so good back then. Boy have we sunken low

Whelp, I didn't think someone had one of my pics saved!
Enjoy a non comprehensive /retro/ roundup

Clints woodgrain 486 is a custom job.

Awesome!
That TI-92 is just godly.

I also have that Palm! Love the electroluminescent backlight on it.

Early digital scopes with CRTs are the most aesthetic. It's such a shame they're still too expensive and their sample rates are worse than what you get from even slightly more modern ones.

does anyone do anything cool with retro comps?

Where tme fug do I find crt these days? Local goodwills only have shitty flat monitors

YAS!
EL dot matrix displays are just godly!
Bummer I don't have enough dosh to spend on a Gameboy Light

You can play Quake on them.
Worth it.

Doesn't work too well on digital scopes i'm afraid... The signal there gets interpolated between dots instead of blending into smooth vector lines like it does on analog scopes...

Hey, LGR browses Sup Forums? Ok, can't say i'm surprised...

what is this and where can I get one?

what resolution is that?
2000x1500?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/REX_6000

I love this dude's setup, I have this one with the druglord screen saved on another machine

Some slight overscan resolution of interlaced 640x480 (710x512 IIRC), Amiga Workbench on an Apple IIc monochrome monitor.
The composite cable is real long and crappy, would probably look better with a proper cable. Didn't plan on posting the picture, just took it as a joke for a friend.

ah... cool
but I was mentioning the photo by itself

I want my classic Mac OS back. It was so comfy!

>what is stopping a computer from running VGA programs when you have CGA
This is a troll, right?

2000x1500 is 4:3, duh.

Time to buy that Macintosh.

Do you hear the high pitched noise?

stop liking it or ill beat you up in school
