I had to switch from rxvt to konsole to try out hasklig, it's pretty comfy. What's the most lightweight terminal emulator that supports them?

Terminess for Powerline in xterm
Monoid in IDEs

doesn't rxvt support font changing via xrdb?

I use Inconsolata but I’m seriously considering designing my own font because some of the characters don’t align and I’m autistic.

PragmataPro, like any true patrician

Times new roman.

Aliased DejaVu Sans Mono.

How do I get ligatures in vim Anons please teach me

Inb4 some winfag brings up Cancer New.

Ligatures are a meme. They don’t make your code anymore readable.

I don't really think they do, I just like the way they look

I've tried them all and Inconsolata is best for me.

Have you tried Windings? Its pretty good.

Is that a slashed zero in "code" or does the O character have a dot in it, which would be full retard?

>zero

It's actually "C-Zero Development Environment"

The only acceptable answer

Same.

Awful. Just fucking awful.

Ligatures are extra comfy.

used to be DejaVu Sans Mono, but now it's Hasklig, because it renders better at smaller sizes and is more compact. also,
>ligatures are comfy

Thank you. I love inconsolata.

>with sugar
KILL YOURSELF

i fail to see much difference between that and Dejavu Sans Mono, except the foot of "i" looks too long

Wip3out had some amazing graphic design.

I like this, can I get a name?

Can someone explain why every font with ligatures feels the need to replace '==' with '='? Now, to differentiate assignment and comparison, you need to squint to figure out whether it's a normal equals or a weird slightly wider one. How is that possibly a good idea?

We should all be using single equals for comparison and pic related for definitions.

You'd have to be a code artisan to understand.

opendyslexic

Assignment != definition. In some contexts they can be the same, but in others - e.g. If you think of your variable as a location in memory, which is normal for C/C++ - thinking of it as definition just doesn't make sense.

Even so, of those fonts made '=' into a 'def' symbol it would still improve readability.

I would unironically use ligatures for stuff like pretty arrows and :::, but not if it literally reduces readability

Operator pro

>Assignment != definition
Apologies, the languages I prefer to use don't feature assignment, I often forget it exists in others.

...

Damn what are the odds? I use Fira Mono (no ligatures) on high ppi displays and Terminus for everything else. Can't imagine ever needing anything else.

Post your bitcoin address user, I am gonna reward you for making my live v. comfy.
