Why wouldn't I trust systemd? It's open source and constantly under scrutiny.
Systemd can't even make a small design choice without a million autists clambering over each other to shit on it. How could they add a backdoor?

Scope creep and code that's nigh-impossible to do a proper audit on

...

I trust Systemd

here ya go, pussy

He eats a lot of bread.

Stallman's always been a little crazy, but I think he's really been losing his mind more and more as time goes on.

>heartbleed was just a one line mistake! see how easy it is to add a backdoor with only a tiny amount of code?
>systemd must be a backdoor attempt because it has tons of code
Literally what? You can make an argument that's just as compelling about anything with root access. Without any evidence of foul play, these are just ravings. And you're happy to eat it up because of your personal biases.

Gee ya think?

Why is he so fat?

1) I'm fine with admitting that my personal biases are in the way. I don't trust three-letter agencies in any way, and any business that deals directly with them is immediately suspect.
2) The core arguments -- that it's impossible to audit as fast as it's developed; that it's bloated and complex; that the previous two are a recipe for security flaws and zero days; and that said security flaws can be catastrophic as a result of how far-reaching and low-level the program is -- are in themselves practical reasons enough to avoid systemd.
You can see Red Hat and the NSA as a red herring, conspiratorial, what-have-you. That's fine. But don't assume the plant isn't poison because the leaves haven't paralyzed you yet when you're about to chow on the fruit.

Why the fuck wouldn't he be? He sits around on his ass all day using other people's cellphones while stuffing his face with toe cheese.

>RMS enjoys nasal sex with corpses

yeah but applications with root access can still be controlled by the sysadmin. when EVERYTHING relies on systemd there's not much you can do.

Misleading as fuck. Only the init part of systemd is PID 1.

>Stallman does Dallas
*vomits*

Is stallman pregnant

>stallman don't likes pay toilet
>you do

Explain yourself.

Nah, he's a fatass

>inb4 Stallman was already compromised by the NSA

"I don't personally mind systemd, and in fact my main desktop and laptop both run it."
- Linus Torvalds, ITWire Interview.

Stallman doesn't know much about systemd, he knows it's foss so he's fine with it. If a backdoor was found I'm sure his position would change.

Trust doesn't matter so much because it's shit for other reasons without-systemd.org/wiki/index.php/Arguments_against_systemd

I want to jump on his belly.

it's a gnirl

cuz he a sleepy nibba

That's a big gut

Stallman trusts Karl Marx and Joseph Stalin, I don't.

What exactly is rhinophytonecrophilia?

he says it's nasal sex with dead plants

so guess he... fucks his nostrils with dead flowers?

I don't use systemd... and therefore I avoid this whole headache.

Haha. Like

for you

It's the act of smelling floral arrangements. You are inhaling plant jizz (pollen), and the plant is dead, so it's not technically incorrect, which is the joke. Stallman's an old-school autistic absurdist - much of his comedy comes from pointing out the inherent strangeness of normal acts and customs when viewed from an analytical lens devoid of cultural bias.

>nsa attempt
>article mentions absolutely nothing of the sort, and is the usual "teh gubmint" rhetoric
Yeah, it wasn't even worth screencapping.

What a marvellous summary.
