Dear Sup Forums,
what kind of music can I listen too while working, that can drown out background noises like building maintenance and coworkers, while not being distracting? I.e. no text/vocals.
I'm mostly listening to drone (Earth, Sunn0)))) and some opera I don't understand and recently fell for the vaporwave meme. What's a nice second level, after pic related?

Entry-level ambient, krautrock/kosmische, go ask Sup Forums for some charts.
Krautrock isn't a good idea for me. I mean, I love the stuff (youtube.com
a) is too complicated, so not a very good easy-listening/background thing
b) mostly has lyrics, and they are German, which is very distracting for german speakers
But then I'll just start playing the games again, not getting any work done.

Fuck. There goes my productivity. As if that cyber monday offer on westworld wasn't bad enough.
I tend to listen to hardcore or very noisy music. Dragonforce, NIN, Touhou remixes, tons of chiptunes, lots of 16-bit console tunes (mainly Megadrive).
They keep me awake, usually have a melody I know from heart so I don't have to pay attention to it, and it tunes out the noise in my head and allows me to concentrate easier.
quake 2 soundtrack is fucking awesome!
did not expect others to feel the same way I do!
Moby - porcelain
Sludgenya.
1. Download any album by Enya.
2. Slow down to 50% speed.
3. ???
4. PROFIT!
In general, anything slowed down to half speed is great IMO.
Right now I'm listening to youtube.com
Paired with mynoise.net
I'm forced to listen to this at work. Now suffer with me.
Underrated. I am post-music for years in that all that I enjoy is drone. And I do mean that I enjoy it.
Get a real job.
Do I really wanna click on that?
as I drone connoisseur, I'm not sure if I should be scared or intrigued by that idea.

Bomberman Hero 64 Soundtrack
Jean-Michel Jarre
Klaus Schulze
Tangerine Dream
and of course:
Kraftwerk - Computerlove
I listen to rock, heavy metal, jazz, american indie, 2hu music, gangster rap, etc etc. Spotify has most of it. It really doesn't matter as long as I have something to listen to that I haven't heard before. It stimulates the brain.
Mostly drone. It just keeps my mind focused enough to get shit done. Sometimes vaporware/future funk when I'm feeling groovy.

>Mr. Oizo
Which album/songs would you say fits a programming mood? I just can't see Mr. Oizo at all as "productive" music
Also OP, i just recommend you to go on Spotify and pick a random playlist from the Focus Genre.
Skyrim music
I usually just listen to somebody else’s playlist of (insert genre im in the mood for) on Spotify since I bum off a friend’s Family Premium account. I’m sure you can just do playlists on YouTube too for the same result.
Today just happened to be vaporwave as well for me. It’s usually a pretty good set, and if the playlist sucks I can just change it to a different person’s picks.
New retro wave of all sorts, some chill, citypop, etc. It's tacky but I can listen to it without headphones in the office and not get complaints because King Diamond's wails are too high
>how to productive mr. Ozio
Entire '#1' album
Entire 'M-seq' album especially Tweeter Trouble
And others but I am lazy
