No, they're down to sub Saharan levels of subsistence at this point.

idk last week i heard that they were opening the border with colombia so ppl could go buy the shit they are lacking

news.vice.com/article/venezuela-has-a-new-forced-labor-law-that-can-require-people-work-in-fields

Imagine how extremely pathetic life must be for people to go to fucking congolombia

it's pretty comfy here 2bh

People are starving. Right now it's not finding products the hard part, it's actually paying for them.

I have friends that only eat rice everyday unless they can eat at someone else house.

>We only get water 8 hours per week.

>5 hours without electricity every day

>Minimum wage is around 30$ dollars a month.

>shorts of medicine and other health products.

>I have been robed at gunpoint 3 Times in the past 5 years.

And so on...

i don't know how but this is pigdog capitalist america's fault

Thanks OBAMA.jpg

>sos no lo sabe pero: ArgENtiNA IS WHITE N SHIIIIIIEEEETTT.
>still a shithole
really makes you think

they wanted the glorious utopia of socialism, didn't they?

Where's the Venezuelan posters?

It's already a failed state in every sense of the word, I'm waiting for the mass famines to occur, that should be 6 months one year from now

their internet got cut off

Fuck man, I thought you guys were oil rich.

When's the next election? This communism meme has got to end already.

The only internet provider in the country blocked Sup Forums, the few venezuelan posters are mostly those who seeked reffuge in the US and Canada

the real problem is that people who don't like communist bullshit are heavily outnumbered by the gibsmedat and those reolutionists wannabes(and those people don't have to be obnoxiously rich or something, people who do some reserach realize cancerous socialism and communism are). Anyways, i don't think thins will get better, that dipshit of maduro will have to be put to death if they are to survive.

how gone wrong?

they are, but it's not possible to sustain their economy with the current oil prices, that fell off to 2004 levels.
Saudi Arabia is having troubles for sustaining their economy as well

Amazing how no amount of money will guarantee your stability if you're a fucking moron

from one of the best countries in the world, to one of the worst, that's just plain depressing
socialism, not even once

that shitty meme ideology has to die already

But there's nothing left to "appropriate". No one seems to be getting anything. What sort of "gibsmedat" would still vote for these monsters? This is Mugabe level insanity.

I assume this is for me. Saudi's are oilfat and shaking at prices as well, but they're still gunning for regional power (compentently). This can only be mismanagement, in my eyes.

youtube.com/watch?v=8sxXYuhWF1s
There are more reasons than that...

>There are more reasons than that...
Yes, uncle Sam

DIN DIN DIN DIN "insanity" is the magical word, american-san. The gibsmedat are idiots beyond saving. We also have gibsmedat here and if there's one thing you can't do is to reason with them, you simply can't, it is futile, the want somebody else to care for them and fix their shit even though many of them have gotten where they are after making stupid decision after stupid decision. This reminds me of something Facund Cabral said:
-" Lo único a lo que le tengo miedo es a los pendejos"
- ¿por qué?
- Pues porque son muchos

-the only thing i'm afraid of is assholes
-why?
-for there's a lot of them

>Also, they shouldn't be allowed to vote.

really makes you think

Actually what's happening in Venezuela is called State Capitalism. Try to be informed before talking about these things, ok?

There are only the middle and the upper class who hate this ideology
No the reason is the production of more money made by Maduro who create an inflation

Damn, those pesky capitalists ruining another great country's economy.

Let me guess, "true socialism hasn't been tried!!!!!!!!!! "
is that what you wanted to say?

oh okay, so it's socialism and stupidity from its president

Is the means of production is the hands of the workers? Then it's not socialism.

one of the problems, but the decadence of venezuela started decades ago because state coup financed on majority by americans, as in all latinamerican countries

ccording to the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), poverty rates fell from 49.4% in 1999 to 23.9% in 2012.] Data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) shows that Venezuela's poverty rate decreased between 1999 to 2013 from 48.7% to 32.1%. A 2010 OAS report criticizing Venezuela's human rights standards indicated achievements in addressing illiteracy, healthcare and poverty, and economic and social advances.

During the past decade under Chavez, the income poverty rate in Venezuela dropped by more than half, from 54% of households below poverty level in the first half of 2003, down to 26% at the end of 2008. "Extreme poverty" fell even more - by 72%. Further, "these poverty rates measure only cash income, and doesn't take into account increased access to health care or education."

Datos reports real income grew by 137% between 2003 and Q1 2006. Official poverty figures dropped by 10%

Venezuela's infant mortality rate fell by 18.2% between 1998 and 2006

Not to mention the GDP of the nation was around 125 billion in 1998, which ballooned to around 400 billion by the end of 2012.

Most areas of social spending increased dramatically since Chávez was first elected in 1998.

Spending on education as a percentage of GDP (which grew dramatically since 1998) stood at 5.1% in 2006, as opposed to 3.4% in the last year of the Caldera government. Spending on health increased from 1.6% of GDP in 2000 to 7.71% in 2006. Spending on housing "receives low public support", increasing only "from 1% in GDP to 1.6% in 2006".

Teresa A. Meade wrote that Chávez's popularity "rests squarely on the lower classes who have benefited from these health initiatives and similar policies"

I don't think that will help all that much, their exchange rate is hideous and most people don't have all that much money lying around.

No, the real problem is like in much of Latin America inequality and corruption meant most people lived in miserable conditions. It's easy for populists to take over when that happens. This could be any of our countries... Maduro relied on venezuela's oil to sustain an otherwise unproductive price controlled economy, the Saudis looking to screw American shale caught them with their pants down.

Personality cults are poison, look at Trump, for a conservative his economic plan is not all that different from Maduro, rely on debt, force multi-national corps to follow his agenda, import substitution with locally manufactured goods, etc.

The really sad thing is Latin America does have the resources to help the Venezuelan people out, but none of our governments will move as this would be propiing up Maduro, and those of us better off, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, have all been made political targets of his regime.

What needs to happen is someone need to put a bullet through their dumb fuck's dictator's head and place under arrest all other Chavista figureheads. An interim government handling democratic transition could easily set up reforms that allow the Venezuelan economy to stop its economic freefall and request aid from the international community, it wouldn't be pretty but at least it would stop people getting killed on the streets over a half kilo of chicken or women prostituting themselves for abg of beans to feed their families.

It will not happen, the government is protected by enough privileged and brainwashed zealots, they're still clinging to hope they can ride this out.

Yeah we actually had a stronger currency than the american dollar by that time if i recall correctly.

Therefore the USSR was not communist

fucking kek

That data can be more than deceiving. Specially if you consider that In Chavez government, The oil Barrel was at the ridiculous high amount of 105$ in 2013.

Now days it less than half, and last year less than a quarter of that price.

The USSR was stalinist

Not to mention, the disappearance of our gold reserves, and huge debts we got with the Chinese.

Chavez had all the money in the world to make Venezuela a first world powerhouse, yet here we are.

T. Bernie sanders voter

>Also, they shouldn't be allowed to vote.

This is the real problem. I hear South Americans talk all the time about how "populism" is the reason why everything goes bad, from depressions to rainy days. These morons don't know what they're saying.

Populism is the beating heart and soul of Democracy. The only prerequisite to vote should be the ability to run a household. To earn, or take in somehow, a sum and spend that sum with at least the absolute minimum amount of poverty and humility needed to run a household sustainably.

Perhaps light requirements on income or education?(pic related)

That's pretty fucked up thinking, I guess it's the reason you people still have that archaic electoral college system.

>I have friends that only eat rice everyday

Damn, I often see your posts and I could swear they are mine (except when you try to argue about race and demographics, because I simply don't care about it).

It's almost tangential, but Trump really isn't a personality outside Sup Forums. Despite being a literal celebrity.

Both his and Sanders' campaign were sort of an oddity. Sanders is sort of diminutive, he's Jewish, his terrible Yiddish accent makes me cringe, literal communist, he hadn't really accomplished anything during his entire political career. He basically had the campaign stolen from him. Trump won his primary, but only in spite of both parties and the entire main stream media.

Compare that with Hillary(woman and wife of one of our more popular presidents in recent years) and Cruz(VERY Christian, sort of a model American, Spanish name). These candidates were put on display user. Like our entire election system is just some sort of old white beauty pageant. It sort of is.

The radical success of both Trump and Sanders' campaigns has convinced me that Americans are more concerned with politics than even we give ourselves credit for.

Consider why Trump just became evil a few months ago, in the eyes of the media. He's run several times. It's because this time he's actually a threat to the status quo.

This
No, not this time

What about it? Why even have democracy if you're not willing to have other take part in it?

Guys, at this point you can través to Venezuela en buy a 10/10 latina wife in tarde of a pasaport and toilet paper, think about it

Socialism can work, Chavismo, not so.much.

You probably dont know how right you are. Only first world countries passports though.

>they actually have to travel to narcoland to buy groceries

Venezuela why

Isn't Venezuela is narcoland 2.0 at this point?

The masses are stupid user, how can you not see that?

Stay mad :)

Considering that Venezuela is about 9 times as dangerous as Mexico, I don't think I'd risk it.

venezuela is fucked up but its doing ok if you dont care about people starving over the border....

I'm concerned about this too
before our elections every tv opened the news with a report from Venezuela but since then we haven't got a single new
don't know why :^)

Yes but not 1.0, at least they don't irradiate drugs to the rest of the continent

White people and counties do it and it's pretty alright.

that's mexico's fault desu, we just make it, they spread it

>Said every socialist ever
Socialism sounds good on paper, not so much in real life. It is the human nature, not everyone wants the same conditions in life, some hardworking/skilled people want to get richer and they deserve it.

Yeah no, fuck you, and Perú and Bolivia, and the US, and Yurop. Holy shit.

>we just make it
pls stop

how was this meme reversed in less than 1 fucking year?

Russia has a surprisingly low consumption of coke

we can't
all the culture we would have left is coffee and that's just gay as fuck
imagine mexico without tacos, what's left? sombreros?

Drugs will never end man

because they drink brick dust and shit

No one really believe that. People have been denouncing Venezuela as a sinking ship for years now

Now google the price of oil you fucking leaf

They fake results.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venezuela–Colombia_migrant_crisis

...

Yes, I understand that the migrant crisis was a thing. But deporting them was more of a scapegoat. Venezuela was already doing way worse than Colombia back then

It all has to do with supply and demand. Saying stop won't stop it as there are millions of people willing to buy them. In south america the main cocaine consumers of cocaine per capita are urigayans and argentinians. unless demand for the drug starts decreasing supply won't stop anytime soon. I think it is a really easy concept to grasp

With the difference that those families maduro expelled had been living in venezuela for decades

>mfw our foreign minister been jewing against Venezuela to get Mercosur leadership.
>mfw Uruguay extremely butthurt

>A subsidy of about $80 for displaced Colombians was announced with the Colombian government announcing that assistance of jobs for the deportees was in progress.
>$80

Thx I guess

I was mostly refering to his hardcore base, take Sanders as a good example, there will be quite a few of his diehards who will actually vote Trump out of spite, obviously not the majority who will come around to at the very least lesser of two evils logic, but these will be people married to Sander's platform, and his leadership, for a good decade. Now the Trump guys draw from already strong bases in the Tea Party and birtherism, theseare the Sarah Palin crowd and Trump just became their god send messiah figure, they don't care about the American chamber of commerce or fiscal conservatism, they don't give a fuck about the religious right or social conservatism, really. They're all for a narrative in which they have been grieved as a group and only one man stands up for them. Those are personality cults, devotion without reason. When trump loses the election more than a few of them will never accept Hillary as the legitimate POTUS and will engage in a resistance of sorts much like the Tea Party engaged in against Obama.

Which is basically the point, either everyone's equal under the law or the votes of some count more than others. Am I mistaken that more Americans voted for Gore than Bush?

fuck off

you just want to hear CNN talk bullshit gossip because that's how you numales get entertained nowadays

...

Seriously Colombia, you were the first people spreading it, remember Escobar? That you got kicked out of that end of the business by more ruthless people doesn't automatically turn you into innocent white lambs

Isn't colombia's coffee renown for its quality worldwide? Coffee isn't gay m80, that's tea.

Tell you what, if you sacrifice your main export, we'll promise to get rid of ours (trannies)

Are you all right Venezuelan friendo? Should we send food aid or will you guys go full Ecuador?

t. clap employee

Colombian migrants were a thing way before Chavez though. As stated.

Now only criminals move to Venezuela to escape justice.

t. Some one who lived in the border.

Ah yes, then they started looking for jobs. Here we don't live subsizided like other countries where the population is mainly composed of gibmedats who manage to fuck up any economy

What the fuck are you talking about? are you implying Venezuela hasn't become a shithole?

Of course they would start looking for jobs. The "aid" was 80 fucking bucks.

Smart people will do well enough, shit is hard, but most retards will just leave the ship and shit talk the country that gave them birth

xDDDD like hot damn man it just whoa super funny

thanx, seriously xP i'll post this on FB right now cuz it's like hehehe

>shit talk the country that gave them birth
Fair enough, I couldn't ever leave here anyways. Good luck, man. I hope you make it through.

Why all the hate for Columbia?
It's a nice country

> xDDDD like hot damn man it just whoa super funny

lmao didn't mean to get you upset, buddy. We're all rooting for you. Didn't expect to find a lot of Venezuelan nationalists here

80 bucks per person per month. You could buy groceries for a whole month with that amount. Also lets say it's a family of 4. You have 320 bucks and you dont pay rent

>Smart people will do well enough

The delusion is real on this one holy shit.

They have a lot of negroes migrating to other south american countries

They keep migrating and shitting up other countries
